After not being on this site for almost two years I was surprised my story was still on the front page!! Rereading it definitely brought back so many memories of rush week. I'm still a member of the sorority that extended me a bid and I am so thankful for the experience I have had in it. I have not only found the best , most genuine friends but have also experienced so much personal growth. If there is any PNM from Ole Miss who may see this prior to rush I beg you to not get discouraged and to give every chapter a shot. What you see during rush is not always how the sorority operates on a day to day basis and it's worth at least trying to find you place in whatever sorority you get a bid from.

anonreb, thanks for the update! I am so glad that you have made the most of your sorority experience so far....you are correct, being in a sorority offers personal growth and development of lifelong friends far beyond what is possible for most as an anonymous student on campus.
Ole Miss recruitment starts soon. Good Luck to everyone!

I think enough time has passed that you can tell us where you pledged!

I still want to know where anonreb went! But I suppose if I don't know, I can forever believe it's my sorority:)

Just re-read the meat of it and so happy to hear anonreb is still active with her sisterhood. My daughter also survived rush at ole miss, was a sophomore when anonreb went through; it almost killed her on the other side! The following year she was a gamma chi and now has graduated. She'll be looking for opportunities to advise chapters before too long I"m sure. She loved her experience at Ole Miss but still shudders at thought of her recruitment weeks, all of them!
