Bourbon Street- on Amsterdam Ave. between 79th and 80th

It is a college-y spot, someplace we can get together and really hang and not feel like we have to stress over everything.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY SERIOUS DISAGREEMENT WITH THE SPOT SPEAK NOW! I have heard through the grapevine that it is a cool place. IT is ALSO on citysearch.com and has a Five Star rating with like 23 reviews. You can go to their site and check it out if you like.

No problem. I will do some checking tonight with the person who recommended it first. All I know is that it's supposed to be fun and karaoke is on Tuesday so we are clear of that.

An unfortunate situation has arisen, and I will be unable to attend this weekend. I'm really sorry to James, who I made go ;) and Cream, my sister, and everyone else, but this can't really be avoided. I promise next time to be there with bells on!! You'll have to take pictures to share!

i'll be in NYC tonight but i'll be at a place called connolly's (45th and 6th) for my friend's birthday. i didn't realize you all were going today.

maybe i'll try to come in earlier and meet up with you guys. how long will you be there? all night??? or if you guys get bored, come there! there is an AWESOME band playing and it's a great place

THings are happening a bit later than was scheduled, so we will be meeting up at Bourobon Street closer to 7:30 than 5:30. Don't blame me. Blame James, lol.

We will also very probably be going to Connolly's and meeting up with Cashmere, so you can always go there if anyone shows *sigh*

So I went to Bourbon Street at 5:30 and guess what? No one was there! :rolleyes: You guys totally suck!
Just kidding! ;) I'm still sick with this stupid cold so I decided that I ought to stay home.:p I hope that you all had fun. BTW, I have gone to Connolly's so many times and I always have fun! There are a few Connolly's in Manhattan and once I showed up at the wrong one until I hunted down my friends and found them at 45th Street.

Wow, just got back from the NYC meeting. Note the time 6:30am Eastern Standard . . .

Without going into all the details of the evening: the girls' random encounters with, as they put it, sketchy guys, a lot of long island iced teas, a flurry of fake phone numbers going out, a live band, and a mind numbing amount of alcohol (oops did I already mention that?), the event should be characterized as a success.

I(Kappa Sig), lovelyivy84(AKA), cash78mere(AXO) (both looking really good by the way, not that looks matter:p ), and 3 of cash78mere's pretty Phi Sig friends showed up.

So there it was, my dwarfish-self, with 5 pretty girls for a night of dining, dancing, and drinking. ;)

I am a little brain dead from alcohol induced dehydration, but all I can say is those ladies are too tough for me, I was in NYC from 7PM-3:30AM and it was all I could do to keep up!

James- I am dying laughing from your description of last night. you hit it right on the head! the fake phone numbers are ALL your fault!!

I have not had so much fun in a long time! And lovelyivy and I have blown James's cover---he is the nicest, most down to earth guy ever!!! (not to forget cute as anything!)

terri is the best! we had so much fun dancing with our "sketchy" guys. and my friend maureen had her share of sketchiness too!

you all really missed out by not coming. i can't wait till we do it again!!
