Though I'm not a member, I was hoping Gamma Phi Beta would win to see how they would do the print just because of their colors and symbol. I don't get why all the NPCs can't have a print by now when they're rolling out these other ones like it's nothing. There's only so much "anticipation" people can deal with before they say "screw it." I hope they don't make Alpha Chi Omega's print ugly and really think about it.

Hypo will be happy. I've never been a Lilly fan and wouldn't buy anything if they made it anyway. I'm not convinced that their quality matches their prices. I'll buy designer stuff if I believe the quality matches the price, but I am just not a person who buys something or pays more for something, just because of the name.

Congrats to Alpha Chi Omega!
But yeah, I'm done with this. I don't mean to be a sore loser, but it really does seem like they like ticking off a portion of their fanbase. Why not do all four? They're down to that few, and they just pick one? Especially after most times, they did more than they originally said they would. |
To be honest, I really think they need to reconsider their way of releasing prints. As the majority of groups now have prints, the rest of us seem to be singled out as "not good enough." All of the NPC groups are large enough to sustain their own prints. I understand that it may not be possible to release 26 prints all at once, but as someone said before, they would be better off issuing a schedule of when each group's prints will be released so customers can at least know that their print will come at some point. I also think part of the problem is that they created so many different products for just some of the sororities, rather than simply make a tote and scarf for each group. My chapter placed a 6k+ order for a bulk vineyard vines order last year, and I know of other Lilly-printless NPC chapters have done the same. Just my 2 cents. Anyways, congrats to AXO.

Doesn't Lilly release several new (non-sorority) prints practically every season? So why the manufactured hype about the release of sorority prints? Why must there be a contest of sorts to determine which sorority print will be released next? I guess its a clever marketing strategy?

I understand they're trying to built excitement or hype, but they're really missing out on many customers who are willing to buy their overpriced stuff. |
I wonder if it is really an issue with getting licensing?

They also totally ignore the D9 groups, right? You want to talk not just huge numbers, but alumnae who really wear their colors and symbols way more than NPC groups, you should be marketing to the NPHC.

you guys can have the scary panda/psychedelic blue roses/ and the horrid theta "pansies" in non-theta colors. i see the lovely prints that are constantly produced and i just SMH.
