For anyone who likes Historical Romance novels, I started reading a new author named Cathy Maxwell who is awesome!

You can't go wrong with Tom Clancy

Hey! What exact order is the Shopaholic series? I have the first one and just started reading it. I love it! But I was confused as to what order they went in? Thanks!

The 2nd one is Shopaholic Takes Manhattan and the 3rd is Shopaholic Ties the Knot. Great series!!!

Confessions of a Shopaholic
Shopaholic Takes Manhattan
Shopaholic Ties the Knot

I'm pissy they are only doing three! My sisters were all down last week and one of them tried to read the books out of order - she got yelled at!

John Grisham is also a good author

Since I read Eating the Cheshire Cat WAY quicker than I thought I would, I didn't order another book quick enough, so I'm patiently waiting for my next few to trickle into my mailbox.

My Summer Reading List got three times as long when I made a trip to B&N the other day... so we'll see if I finish them all :)

His stories are really good, but when you get to the end of the book, they just...quit. They never have a proper ending. It's like you're just left hanging and thinking, "Where's the last 20 pages?"

For those ladies out in GC-land who are looking for some hysterical, grrl-power type of books, I HIGHLY recommend Jill Connor-Browne's Sweet Potato Queens series:

"God Save the Sweet Potato Queens"
"The Sweet Potato Queens Book of Love" and
"The Sweet Potato Queens Big-Ass Cookbook and Financial Planner"

The Sweet Potato Queens series has a highly Southern flavor but it is THE anti-"Southern Belle Primer." Just hilarious. :D

I also highly enjoyed Susan Jane Gilman's "Kiss My Tiara: How To Rule The World as a Smartmouth Goddess." With a title like that, what girl could resist??? ;)

The Sweet Potato Queens are precious! My aunt has those in the guest bedroom at her house and I can't ever sleep because I can't put them down!

Jane Green, who wrote jemima j and mr. maybe, became one of my favorite authors when I was in school in London. Have you read Bookends by her yet?
