No - I was saying that Barbara was a smart cookie, but did not go through recruitment as Yale does not have NPC groups.

My bad. I will go back and correct my list of famous Greeks....

I checked it is not on Yale's website - are sororities off campus at Yale like at Harvard?

AOII Angel 08-22-2011 08:51 PM

Well, I guess we can reliably remove Theta from the running of groups HQWest is a member of. I think we already knew that, though.

No, I am fairly certain that they are recognized. We also have a chapter at Harvard, but when listing our chapters we are not allowed to use the Harvard name with our chapter name. However, I always see the Yale name with our chapters. I will go look for links.

It may just be that Yale minimizes it?

ETA: found the link. Definitely minimizing Greek Life: http://admissions.yale.edu/extracurriculars

At least they have it in the same font. I've seen worse - like, where you seriously can't find it unless you do a google search.

And you can probably remove Kappa and Pi Phi as well.

Hey -neither twin is listed in the famous Theta's on KAT's national website either.

Weren't you the one pointing out mistakes in Panhellenic Handbooks week before last?

Would you consider them famous just because of an accident of birth? And I was pointing out mistakes in the AOII list. Because...I'm an (wait for it) AOII!

Hahahaha, I love it! AOII Angel-you are too funny! I know I'd also be annoyed if someone (who is most likely not a member) was trying to tell me I was wrong about mistakes in a Phi Mu list because I'm a (wait for it) Phi Mu...Who is HQWest, any way?

That is a rather philosophical question? Who are you?

Famous can be known for their achievements or widely known. It was a mistake, and I said so.

I am sure it is fun at your new member meetings memorizing the locations of every chapter ever of your sorority? and I guess every Greek woman of note, too?

I think they are famous, sure. Fame isn't merit based, no matter how much the Kardashians or Hiltons make me wish it were.

I'd be happy to claim the Bush twins if I were a Theta and even happier about claiming Laura Bush.

I'm sure all of the Theta's know the Bush twins are sisters. Whether or not their HQ decides to list them as "famous" or accomplished is their business.
