I was released. It sucks. Good luck to all the other PNMs here!! I know you will all do great. :)

I'm so sorry wareagle. Take today to grieve or be angry or whatever you have to do. Then tomorrow you can start to re-evaluate and see what's next on the horizon. My understanding is there isn't a lot of COB at Auburn, but I would express interest in that to your Rho Chi, just in case. You never know! And then start looking at what other clubs on campus can benefit from your awesomeness.
|
If you're still interested in Greek life, please go to the GL Office and sign up for COB! If you'd rather not think about that now, check out the lists of fabulous activities available at AU! They're online and at the Union. Also, posters about fascinating activities will start popping up around campus any day!

Oh no - Wareagle So very sorry!!
Once everyone else is on campus, it will feel different. I can tell from your posts you have so much to offer - it is their loss.... You are on one of the BEST college campuses in the world and have *so* many options. |
wareagle please take carnation and DubaiSis's advice. you had an awesome attitude throughout the process and i know you will find your place in the auburn family

The thing is, Wareagle, you probably have a general idea of how RFM works, but it's not perfect. Chapters could have cut too many girls and end up short of quota, even though they are a strong chapter. The numbers of girls to keep versus cut is an art not a science. I'm not saying put all your emotional eggs in the "second chance at sorority" basket, but you should still consider it.

Daughter has 3 skit parties today. 2 standout favorites and one that she justcan'tseem to connect with. Not sure what the day will hold but she's still in it 100%.
As a side note she had 13 recs and she only made it back to 3 for philanthropy. So recs do not guarantee you past the first cut. (and most of those had 2 recs submitted) |

Update here - my daughter also got invited back to 3 skit parties - one of those has been her favorite (so far) but she is open to the other two as well.... Should be a fun day for her (but a pins and needles day for me)....
Thanks for posting that about the recs GAmomof2.... I've been so distraught over this - We were counting on one family friend (a teacher) who promised to get many different recs for my daughter. AFTER rush began - I e-mailed her and discovered she did not follow through with any (except for her own sorority).... So your post has made me feel better. What will be will be... |

Go ahead and sign up. You're not binding yourself to anything if you do and there are no additional fees. If you still aren't feeling it when the time comes around to attend events, you don't have to. |
My daughter was blessed with a full schedule of parties. She is very excited. She has five of her favs left and three of her top four. Two she still hasn't felt any connection with at all. She is looking forward to a great day.
I agree with what's been said about AU. It's a great place for so much social life and activities. Everyone will find their perfect place! |
