I am so sick of this racist crap. There is no one way to define what a white person is and what a black person is. I listen to hip hop, I have black friends who like rock. Who cares? People are people. Why can't you just accept a person for who they are, not the color of thier skin? There's more impotant things to be fighting about in this world. As for this sell out shit, that's just a bunch of BS and is an excuse to put other people down for having the guts to make a choice you didn't. I am so sick of the bigotry that this thread has turned into that it makes me want to vomit. There are some people who have been posting recently that obviously have pre-concieved notions of what certain races are like. They refuse to listen to reason and go off on tangents to cover up their lack of tolerance and common sense. I am sick to death of people thinking they are better than others because of the color of their skin, and also thinking they are enlightened because of it.

Oh, and here's another thing that really ticks me off: a GLO is a GLO. NOT a WGLO. Sure, white people founded it, but it was not founded on just white people being in it so quit refering to it! I have several black women in my sorority and I take offense to people saying they sold out to a WGLO. IT IS NOT A WGLO!!! Grow up people!!:mad: :mad: :mad:

Like everything in life is choices. Could Bush be an Omega man(Omega Psi Phi) I don't think he would be happy as an Omega. Could Paula Giddings be a Delta Zeta.......I do not think she could be as happy either. It is all about the person when it comes to this. Most people will go to where they feel comfortorable. For people of color that will be an NPHC, LIFC(latino interfraternal Council) and others. But what org one chooses does not make them a sellout - a sell out is one who forgets their roots and lays in by the wayside in an attempt to get a better opportunity.

I am glad you brought this to light. Some of the replies were not necessarily racist, but insight from another point of view. You will never know what it is like to be a minority until you are one. I did notice references in some of the replies to underlying problems in the minority communties and I really don't think the majority will ever understand that. Take it for what it is worth.
