Terrific picture, Berlee! Col. Dengler was upset that Arlington Cemetery would not allow a marker stating that Jean was a Founder of Chi Omega. Strict regulations did not permit it. Follow-up question... Which other founder is also buried in the Washington, D.C. area? a.) Dr. Richardson b.) Allie Simmonds c.) Jobelle Hocombe d.) Ina Mae Boles Morton |
Any interest in reviving this old thread?
What is the significance of the number of the street address of the Chi Omega Executive Headquarters, 3395 Players Club Parkway?
a.) The "33" is from at old address of the Executive Office in Cincinnati, 3300 Carew Tower and the "95" is from the founding of Chi Omega in 1895. b.) There were 339,500 initiates of Chi Omega when ground was broken for the new HQ in 1992. c.) There were 33 staff members employed when the building was dedicated in 1995. d.) That's stupid -- there is no significance. |
Interest yes!
no idea though :) |
I believe it is Allie Simonds. I went through the New Member website recently (brushing up on Chi O history during winter break), and I think it said she was buried in the Congressional Cemetery.
Love from your sisters at Nu Alpha! |
(crash) Not JoBelle Holcomb, I'm pretty sure she's buried in Springdale, AR. (uncrash)

Which Chi Omega chapter has had the most winners of the Miss America pagent?
a.) Psi (Univ. of Arkansas) b.) Tau (Ole Miss) c.) Epsilon Alpha (Univ. of Oklahoma) d.) Gamma Beta (U.C.L.A.) |
I think it's psi at Arkansas. I remember reading a lot about them with Miss America :)
