They didn't realize that you only get as many days as they decide you need. If someone documents in your chart that you smiled when you are supposed to be depressed then BAM, you're outta there.

But, isn't your story more an example of people not properly reading their policies? Mine clearly states that I have a 30 day MAXIMUM for inpatient mental health care as determined by a physician. People do this all the time--for example, thinking they have a $15 copay on all of their doctor visits, when it's really the only ones in-network.

Most people think you can just mosey up to a VA hospital and get full benefits when that is hardly the case. However, I doubt many people think that they're going to get the full benefits from their HMO/PPO.

You and I read our policies - and in fact I've read TONS of policies (but then again, being HR for my company, it's my job). But the average person does not. Especially the fine print like "as determined by a physician".

The other phrase I find interesting is "80% of the expected and usual cost" or something like that. It's not 80% of what your doc charges, it's 80% of what they think most docs should charge...

$21.00 a month, according to some twits, my booze bill is higher than this!

But, if one is able to do this even with one person a month should be considered the Mother or Father of the year!!

Even if single and one wants something nice, well, the fat foods are cheeper.:(

So, I cannot have shrimp or filet mignon, I have to try and buy enough Mac, Cheese and tuna fish to add to it?

Oh, try Raman noodles, add water! So will not do that! I want my stomach to survive!

Maybe because I had to do a surgical procedure today, unlike someone who sunbathes and sits around the pool all the day snapping her fingers for her servants... :p

I'm a busy women, do you have anything relevant to this discussion at all or do you like being so assinine and inane?

What do you want from me to admit I am wrong? Fine. I am wrong. Congratualations for feeling so high and mighty about your accomplishments. To demean the GREAT AKA_Monet. Wow! You are truly special!

Here is gold star for you greatness!

I can't believe that anyone thinks $21 can buy anything of any nutritional value! wow.

As for the surgeon who posted- Monet, what kind of medicine do you practice? (I mean obviously surgery). But what kind?

To the lady who has servants and sunbathes.....why would you post on a topic like this?

As per your request in PM, I Pm'd you back. Do not judge me, you do not know me. Go back to your scalpel. I will go back to my classroom. I suppose your job is more noble than mine. I have no pool, and no servants, like you. My job does not earn a surgeons salary. I am glad you earn enough for those things, It must make you feel important to be so wealthy. So are you casting the first stone, my friend without sin?

I was actually interning for Congressman Ryan during the Food Stamp challenge, he may not have made it through, but believe me did he try. It was actually kinda funny to be in the office that week. Someone brought in doughnuts one day I thought they were going to get fired. lol ;)

they have been removed and given back to her SEVERAL times. she now has 2 grandchildren...by her 16 and 15 year old daughters. they were knocked up by two grown-a** men (one 26, the other 22) and nobody did anything about it here. they even listed these grown men on the birth certificates, name/age/everything and nothing was done.

we had one of the girls as a foster child for 3 years. we begged to keep her but her mom wanted the check for her (and actually told the social worker that!) and they gave her back. we tried everything, nothing worked...
