Every night on our 5:00 news, we have some sort of stupid American Idol segment where we talk about Chris, Kellie, Bucky (and Heather, before she got kicked off) since they are all from my viewing area. Sometimes we talk about Clay and especially Fantasia.

It is boring and is not news in any way, shape or form. I could live without ever seeing Bucky Central and his twin brother Rocky ever again. Yes, we get it. Chris used to work at Crown Honda here in Greensboro. Yep, thanks for sharing Kellie's grandfather's opinion for the 20th time.

HOW IS THIS NEWSWORTHY? Thank God I'm even WATCHING AI or else I would be really, really pissed that this drivel is on the news nightly.

In other news, I loved Ace's version of the Michael song, but I also loved when he did "Father Figure". I like it when he is creepy, I guess.

I am going to cry if/when Kevin goes home. He isn't the best in the competition by far but we love that owlish-faced tiny-mouthed little guy.

Chris is hot, Will is cheesy, Gideon has a lovely voice but looks like a freaking MUPPET (stop smiling!), Taylor needs to never dance again, I HATE BUCKY, and I actually had to go to the American Idol website to figure out who I am forgetting which shows you just how much I care about Elliott. Please remove your gross teeth from my TV screen, even though you are a talented singer.

I hate Bucky too! Seriously! And I'm from NC and I just can't stand seeing him. Maybe if I closed my eyes and watched him it's be okay, but what kind of Idol is that?

Elliot is still amazing. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE Taylor. Like he can't dance, but he still makes me smile! :D

I think Bucky sounded amazing last night (although, I only caught the playback cuz I had to ANTM!) I just can't stand to look at him! I'm so glad that Elliott shaved!

So, my daughter tried to vote for Ayla for an hour Tuesday night and got busy signals the whole time, yet, she is the one who got booted? How does this make sense? If calls can't get in, how can you vote? I guess texting is the only way, but I'm not paying Cingusuck to vote for Idol.. they rip me off enough already.

I agree with these predictions too. Even though I like Kevin and think he has a great voice I just don't think he is Idol material. I also am not a big fan of Lisa too. I think she will be gone in the early episodes too.

I was so upset that Ayla and Gideon left...they totally deserved to be in the top 12!! If I had to chose who I think would win the whole thing I am going for Chris. I think he has an awsome voice, a great personality, and good stage presence...and he is HOTT too!!

I'm a big Lisa fan, but she needs to sing different songs. Something upbeat and poppy- she has a wonderful voice.

Mandisa and Elliott... both have wonderful voices but I just don't like either of them. I won't be upset if they are in the final group but I wouldn't be interested in listening to their music outside the show, really.

My friend had a theory on Ayla's departure. She thinks that either America was torn between letting her continue with AI AND her college career AND her scholarship AND her basketball team... and just letting her go so she can have a college career. Then she threw in the idea that maybe the judges just pulled the plug on her now, rather than get her throughout the top 12 and have all sorts of drama with her college and basketball team and missing all the practices and whatnot. Because if she went anywhere beyond the top 10, she wouldn't be available until late fall at LEAST. There goes her scholarship.

My guess is there were some producer strings pulled.

But it made my guy friends very sad.

I can't stand Bucky and would rather see Gedeon in it... even though I think he's just as strange. (Boy... you are not an artist.)

They haven't announced the loser yet. They just announced that Ace was the first in the bottom three. I was hoping it was the kid with the glasses, but sadly, no. Kellie I think will be safe for a few more weeks because of her "minx" appeal, but I think people will get tired of her. Hopefully they do.

My friend was calling it the "Dave Matthews shuffle." If you have ever seen the band live, Dave does this funny lil "suzie q" walk with his guitar when the band jams.

I don't think Taylor will win, but the man is the heartbeat of the competition. He brings the energy while everyone else puts me to sleep.

Chris is amazing in my opinion. I think he should win this thing, but if not him, Taylor is really a cool option and a GREAT entertainer.

Paris is only on the show because of her aunt's name, if you ask me. Someone needs to grab her and do her hair right and then send her over to "what not to wear" to put a decent outfit on her.

Mandisa has a fabulous voice. And a wonderful personality. She'll work in the business whether she makes it to the final four or not, which she should.

Kellie and Kevin have GOT TO GO, I'm sorry folks, but Kellie annoys me to no end. Can't say it's the country thing, because Bucky sings country and for some reason he doesn't completely offend. Katharine still does nothing for me at all. I was really surprised to see Lisa in the bottom three, because I thought there were at least two or three others before her who did poorly this week.

Anyone know any rumored themes for next week?

Oooh, I forgot to add how much I love Taylor too. He's awesome. he's been working at it for so long -- he deserves it.
