That was great to put so many characters into the scene! I wish they'd have more of Green during the season!

ree-Xi 11-14-2008 12:03 AM

I looooooooved Dr. Greene! His last episode was so heart wrenching. The only thing that came close and probably ties is the episode from "House" last season when Dr. Wilson's girlfriend died.

ZTABullwinkle 11-14-2008 12:08 AM

I really enjoyed Dr. Banfield and Archie talking in the lounge. He has really come full circle from the pot smoking resident to an attending who cares. Courtney Vance also was heartbreaking during that one scene.

How awesome to have all of the oldies back! This season has been AWESOME, but is going too fast. I am not ready for ER to end.

Nice memorial for Michael Crichton.

I loved this episode, very emotional for me to watch. Angela and Courtney on screen together? Perfection. Keep him around. Kthnxbye.

And mercy, Romano was an asshole.

Absolutely - the segues between Dr. Green and the present were fantastic!

Agreed, agreed, agreed.

Oh, CT4 - you're spot on about Dr. Romano. Makes me want to hug a helicopter!

Sorry I'm just posting now. I finally quit tearing up enough to type. *sniffle*

nittanyalum 11-14-2008 12:33 AM

I bawled!

ZTABullwinkle 11-14-2008 01:03 AM

I just went back to rewatch the episode. They brought back the old opening credits and music. I totally missed that!

That was the first thing I noticed - and did a double take! I find it so much more awesome than what they've been using lately.

And Eriq LaSalle's mini-eulogy on the passing of Michael Crichton was wonderful!

honeychile 11-21-2008 02:22 PM

Is it me, or was this episode a little disappointing? I don't want disappointing in the last season!

DreamfulSpirit 11-21-2008 02:23 PM

Yeah, I wasn't really drawn into watching this episode. I expected these episodes to be better....:(

Nanners52674 11-21-2008 02:57 PM

Yea it was boring. . . . and the child molester story line was just so predictable and creepy

Did Alex (Samantha's son) just die? I was distracted during the crucial moments, if someone wants to share. What I got was that the three kids were supposed to be studying, the girls got drunk, and Alex was driving them home when they were in a car accident. Help?

And I really liked the "drunk side of Dr. Banfield"! That woman can sing!

Senusret I 12-05-2008 12:41 AM

No, he didn't. He might, though.

thetalady 12-05-2008 12:43 AM

Preview of next week showed him still alive, but looks in a coma. Sam is praying in the chapel.....

Senusret I 12-05-2008 12:44 AM

I'm hoping he dies, personally.

Ah, you're so cold! :) Being a mom, I don't want him to die. I've always liked Sam's character so I wish she could just get a break and have a good life!

Army Wife'79 12-05-2008 05:17 PM

He was such a brat. Remember when his dad was in prison in Colorado he hitchhiked out there and Sam and (Carter or Kovich?) drove nonstop to fetch him.
I never did understand the story line with Sam and the rich guy in the limo who after one ER visit had Sam & Alex move into his mansion. What happened there? Why did they move out?

IIRC (this current storyline just was repeated on TNT this morning), they ended up moving out after the guy refused to cooperate with Sam's care. However, he did help Sam out after she shot her ex-husband who took Sam and Alex hostage.

He also started the fire that burned down the house and killed (wasn't it?) his grandma...

DreamfulSpirit 01-09-2009 12:00 AM

Ok...preview for next week! Dr. Corday!!!! That alone just kinda excites me!!!

Tonight's episode...I liked the undercover cop part. This episode seemed to revolve around the younger patients....

PeppyGPhiB 01-16-2009 11:16 PM

Last night's episode was kinda interesting, in a Groundhog Day kind of way. I kept expecting something awful to happen to Neela, though.

Senusret I 01-16-2009 11:19 PM

^^^ I forgot I even watched this last night.

My question is.... is there actually a "real" version of what happened, and if so, which version was it?

honeychile 01-16-2009 11:25 PM

^ My question exactly! Also, was I the only one who questioned Alex Kingston's makeup?

Senusret I 01-16-2009 11:29 PM

I didn't question it, but I did realize she ain't no spring chicken anymore.

I thought that her blush made her look like a clown! I'm all about an "English Rose" complexion, but it didn't suit her at all.

DreamfulSpirit 01-17-2009 03:00 AM

I'm expecting Neela to go to work at Duke. It seems like, as this is the final season of the series, that they're trying to get the bigger characters to find jobs elsewhere and leave County.

I had to laugh though at what Elizabeth said about Durham, saying its "more cultured than people would think." I drive up to Durham 2 days a week for work...and in real life, Durham is not all that cultured lol!

Senusret I 01-17-2009 09:54 AM

^^^ LMAO

sceniczip 01-21-2009 12:18 AM

I just watched the episode and I really liked it. At first I was kind of skeptical but I thought it was good, and it was great seeing Corday again! I always loved her. I really like how they're bringing back all of the old characters.

I don't think so. Notice those random people walking up the staircase as Neela was walking down? I figure those were signs that it was a dream...they were totally random and made no sense at all, just like a dream.

ZTABullwinkle 01-22-2009 01:01 AM

On TWoP, the consensus seems to be that the monk represented her passivity. I don't recall what the second figure she passed was. The third had them stumped since it was a ballerina.

So, who else is excited to hear that George Clooney will be returning for the final season? :p

Hm. I figured they were maybe supposed to represent patients she tended to in the past. I like my take on it so I'm going to stick with it :p

George is coming back?! I hadn't heard that!

I have seen it on many of the "gossip" sites, but here is the link to TV Guide's article: Clooney Returns to ER?

honeychile 01-22-2009 12:53 PM

I know I'm dreaming, but I would so love to see George Clooney, Julianna Margialos (sp?) and their kids show up. You know, a visit to Grandma's, one of the twins gets hurt, and they all end up at County.

We need an emoticon for someone with their heads in the clouds!

ZTABullwinkle 01-22-2009 03:05 PM

It gets better! (But I am taking this report with a grain of salt, since it came from Life and Style.)

Nurse Hathaway Returning to ER

I would LOVE LOVE to see them all together!! PLEASE all I ask... let one couple on this show be happily married and enjoying their lives together. I was such a sucker for their story line!

Clearly, I need to get a life on Thursday nights ;)

thetalady 02-06-2009 01:32 PM

Last night's episode was one of the BEST!!! Love the alums coming back during this season in more than just flashbacks.

DreamfulSpirit 02-06-2009 01:47 PM

The only thing I didn't like about last night's episode is that the woman had TB, they said everyone had been exposed, which they were, but didn't seem to do anything about it!
