Um, ok. I know why she never called the police. Robert's bank account....
Still if he hit her, he aint right. But if he hit her more than once, she's just as guilty for staying. *THIS IS MY OPINION* |

Bone Thugs Rapper Layzie Bone's Finger Nearly Bitten Off In one of the more bizarre accounts of artist/fan interactions, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Layzie Bone almost lost a finger on Saturday when an irate fan tried to bite it off during a scuffle. According to a source close to the group, Layzie, Krayzie and Wish Bone were in Palm Springs, California, to perform at a club and before they could even get to the venue, the show was canceled. Bone's camp said police intervened, fearing gang violence, but a spokesperson for the police said that was not the case and that if the show was canceled it was because the promoter did not obtain the proper permits from the city. In any event, Bone Thugs visited another local club, Havana, and then headed back to their hotel, a Holiday Inn Express in Cathedral City, where the madness occurred. According to the Bone camp, Layzie and his wife were in one of the rooms with some friends and invited some fans up to mingle. There was an undisclosed number of men and women in the room when one of the men attacked Layzie, apparently disgruntled because of the show's cancellation. The distraught man was able to bite down on one of the rapper's fingers and pierced the skin all the way to the bone. The man was then held by Layzie's friends until police arrived. Police said the attacker was not arrested because Layzie Bone refused to press charges or even cooperate with authorities. Bone was rushed to a hospital, where doctors were able to save his appendage. The fleet-mouthed rapper's finger was stitched up and Layzie is said to be resting in Hawaii with his wife. Despite suffering extreme pain, Layzie is expected to meet up with his group in two weeks to continue recording a new album. Bizzy Bone left the group earlier this year, but for the past several weeks the remaining three members have recorded 25 songs with Swizz Beatz and are close to signing with the producer's Full Surface record label. Bone Thugs have also received beats from Three 6 Mafia, Big Boi and Kanye West, among others. There is still no word on when the album will be in stores or even completed. Meanwhile, Bizzy drops the solo LP Speaking in Tongues this week on indie label 845 Entertainment. |
"Hostage" of Brian Nicohls
YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!
Ashley Smith frank about her flaws in new book She gave Brian Nichols meth to put alleged killer at ease By JENNIFER BRETT The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 09/27/05 Ashley Smith, the woman held hostage for hours after the March 11 Fulton County Courthouse shootings, reveals in a book released today that she gave alleged gunman Brian Nichols drugs on the night he held her captive. Smith, 27, was thrust into a national media spotlight after talking her way out of Nichols' captivity and then calling police. In "Unlikely Angel: The Untold Story of the Atlanta Hostage Hero," Smith shares details of her seven-hour ordeal as a hostage in her Duluth apartment, and for the first time tells of giving Nichols drugs. Nichols asked her for marijuana, she writes, but she had only a small amount of crystal methamphetamine. She thought offering him the drug might curry favor, but she says she refused to take the drug with him. "I was not going to die tonight and stand before God, having done a bunch of ice up my nose," she writes. Today, Smith will talk to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution about her book, her drug battles and her life since her hostage ordeal. A full interview will run in Wednesday's Living section. Smith's book, the 272-page "Unlikely Angel" (co-written with Stacy Mattingly), goes on sale today. Publisher William Morrow reports a first printing of 400,000 copies, an ambitious number for a memoir by anyone who is not a celebrity or a national politician. Smith is scheduled to appear on Oprah Winfrey's talk show Wednesday and then will begin a publicity tour that will bring her to Atlanta on Oct. 10, for a book signing at Chapter 11 bookstore at Peachtree Battle Shopping Center. Here are a few excerpts from "Unlikely Angel": • On Brian Nichols: "He was bare-chested underneath his blazer. His pecs were rippling in between the black lapels; and seeing where the jacket seams hit his shoulders, I could tell just how broad those shoulders really were. I know I'm in good shape, but man, if this guy comes at me, I'll never have a chance to fight him off." • On what she said to Nichols: "Nobody else needs to get hurt, dude. And if you don't turn yourself in, somebody else will get hurt. You'll keep going and you'll kill more people and you'll probably die too." • On what Nichols said to her: "You know, Ashley, I wish I would've met you at a different time and under different circumstances. We could've been friends." • On her battle with drugs: "I haven't touched drugs since walking out of my apartment on March 12. . . . . Initially I did not volunteer the information about the drugs [that she gave Nichols]. . . . I was afraid. Later I came forward and shared the details about the drugs with the appropriate authorities, but I regret not having done so at the very beginning. I remember what Jesus said: The truth will set you free. That's how I want to live my life — I want to be an honest person and experience the freedom that goes with it." • On her faith: "Instead of running away from God's voice, now I seek it and try to learn from his words. . . . I still pray all the time for the friends I knew in the drug scene. . . . I pray that what has happened in my life will impact them in some way. I want them to know that God loves them no matter what they've done." |
Tupac script to become movie (AP)
LOS ANGELES - A screenplay written by slain rapper Tupac Shakur is being produced as a feature film.
"Live 2 Tell," a script Shakur wrote in 1995 about an inner-city black youth who becomes a drug kingpin and later goes straight, was acquired by Insomnia Media Group, which plans to begin production next March, company Chairman Bret Saxon and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bowler said Tuesday. Insomnia acquired the rights from Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, who will be a producer on the film, which has not yet been cast. Tupac, who appeared in such films as "Poetic Justice," "Above the Rim" and "Gridlock'd," had written "Live 2 Tell" for himself to star in. The rapper was gunned down on the Las Vegas Strip in 1996. His murder remains unsolved. Other projects by Insomnia include an upcoming film biography of Napster creator Shawn Fanning and the tattoo-parlor reality TV show "Inked." |

Sheila Johnson remarries
From PageSix, NY Post:
JUST OUTCOME AMERICA'S first black female billionaire just got remarried. Sheila Johnson, the ex-wife of BET founder Robert Johnson, tied the knot with Judge William Newman at her Salamander Farm in Middleburg, Va., on Saturday. Newman met Johnson when he presided over her 2002 divorce case against Robert, her husband of 33 years. Newman's decision evenly split the $3 billion Johnson netted after Viacom bought BET. I dont know if someone has posted this or not, i searched and didnt find it but.. Kanye west's endorsement deal was dropped by Pepsi... allegedly:
SUBJECT: Kanye West Dropped by Pepsi!!! It's Their Loss; Besides, Pepsi is no good for you anyway!! Kanye West, former spokesperson for Pepsi, has since lost his endorsement deal with the soft drink giant due to his publicized remarks regarding the mishandling of the Katrina evacuees/victims. I mean if you're like me...just SICK and TIRED of being black in America and being mishandled, then do something. Our parents and their parent's SHUT DOWN an entire bus system during the Civil Rights era by CHOOSING to do something. Here is your opportunity. We're calling a boycott on ALL Pepsi products. If they want to drop Kanye, how about we DROP them! Umm, not to nitpick but I think the civil rights movement involved more pressing issues than the loss of a celebrity sponsorship? Either way, when I looked for confirmation of the story all I found was this reply from Pepsi, claiming it's just a rumor: Pepsi Says They Didn't Can Kanye Nicole Bradley, Manager, Public Relations, Pepsi-Cola North America: "Hello EUR: This note is to inform you that you've received an erroneous email regarding Kanye West and Pepsi. The letter said that Kanye has lost his endorsement deal with Pepsi, which is not true. Our relationship with Kanye has not changed and our marketing campaign is continuing as planned. In fact, his Pepsi commercial is scheduled to air several times this week. Thanks for giving us the chance to clarify the situation and please feel free to share this note with anyone else who may have received the message." |

Ciara and Bow Wow
|
Aww, they're cute together. I like Bow Wow for the fact that he doesn't have to curse through his whole song just to get a point across. He doesn't talk about selling drugs, staying on the street corner or bustdowns. He doesn't disrespect women. His momma brought him up well. :D
|
Aha!
I had a feeling they were dating.
Now did Ciara go to Riverdale High School or North Clayton? I was looking at her cheerleader pic and that looks like a NCHS uniform. And isn't she a little older than Bow Wow? |
