Rudey,

Can you please give an explanation of what you believe is "Barbie"? I've gone through the thread and have decided that I just don't get it. I agreed with few of your Barbie declarations. I agree that they're cute, most are pretty, but Barbie? Not so much. Other pictures that I thought to myself "We have a winner!" You declared "Not even a contender." Besides blonde, what are the qualifications?

It's subjective.
Most girls aren't barbie, i would even say some aren't attractive - but didn't, knowing some chick would start bitching regarding negative superficiality or other horseshit.

No see guys can pick barbies, girls can't.

Girls don't see the superficial beauty we see and if they do, their jealousy gets in the way.

Like a hot brunette is still not a barbie. Pamela Anderson is. Now within blondes, Tara Reid is not a barbie.

It's hard to describe but I would say really only 2 or 3 chapters (San diego and florida) could qualify as barbie. Some chapter had other kinds of pretty girls, but they were different. I think we all really took the liberty on this thread to post pretty sorority girls and see what other guys say so it might cause some confusion.

And I won't ever say a girl is ugly. It's not right. I can say that privately to a friend but I don't want to mess with something someone can't control and make them upset because some random schmoe said that on the net.

I'm not sure what va va va voom means. Seriously this Barbie business is hard to desribe. For example let's take those North Texas girls. Very pretty girls you know? But maybe one (not even definite) would qualify as "Barbie". This doesn't mean there are hotties, not hotties, girls that are smart, girls that have great personalities...just Barbie factor is not their selling point.

I disagree. I find this thread highly entertaining -- it's a hoot to see these chapters, and IMHO there's nothing wrong with that. James, you go right on ahead and spend all your time combing the web for these sites! It's no skin off my nose if it takes time away from your real life.

Barbie is not black. Barbie has a black friend. Barbie also has an Asian friend. If you want to see pictures of them, post a thread about them.

Furthermore I have the perfect picture for this thread but I will not post it. :p

James 05-25-2004 08:42 PM

Post away, they just should be in the upper percentile of being attractive.

Funny thing is that in there photo gallery they had a picture of three members (that I know personally) from spring break with NO makeup on and they looked hideous...the night and day comparison from what I know these girls look like shocked me...I guess you really can do a lot with make up...

The center girl in the center picture (with the dark hair) has such a beautiful smile! She could easily be a model

Sophia is a Kappa from one of our California chapters. I'm not sure which one--either UCLA or USC. She gave up her position as social chair (oh sorry, Events Planner now) to star in the TV show. Some people. ;) :p

ETA: I checked and she is from USC, so that most likely is her!

proud of being superficial on the internet even if im not in real life!!

So who do the gentlemen really prefer? the blondes or the brunettes? (i'm not talking barbie and her brunette counterpart here!) but do you think generally blondes, brunettes, or redheads are the most attractive??

as a brunette myself, i usually think girls (and guys) with dark hair are better looking....just generally, not as a rule

In general terms men look beyond such superficialities such as hair or eye color. Thus, blondes, brunettes and redheads can all be attractive to men. Indeed, men are perhaps more drawn to the rich inner light that shines through in someone's eyes; their personality etc. ;)

Really though some men do have a slight preference or tendency to go for one set of characteristics sometimes but physically attractive, friendly, smart, flirty etc are way more important.

Not that I'm saying men aren't that fussy. Just, that er men are open-minded, more deeply interested in the intellectual/spiritual side rather than physical and yeah, that. :D

Everyone (especially the ladies) gets all dolled up. But USC takes it to a whole new level. That football crowd is like something you would see in Vogue magazine"~ESPN on Gameday visit to USC

Good PR to be called a barbie doll...............you must be kidding right?

And actually, they just might care if their pictures were on here. I don't know about Sigma Kappa, but we have to have express permission to use any pictures, from everyone in the pictures. And the pictures are the property of the chapters.

I would be pissed if it was me in those pictures and I wouldn't care if it was a Gamma Phi posting them. In fact, I would probably be MORE pissed if it was.

sigmaK619 06-23-2005 09:17 PM

I was seriously just having fun and showing everyone that I think Sigma K's are beautiful, I'm not trying to offend anyone. I am just proud of my org and like I said, one of those chapters was mine and since I was a Sigma K in So Cal I have met and love other girls from those So Cal chapters. I just thought this thread was for fun. So I edited my posts, are you happy now? Sigma Kappas are beautiful, sophisticated, intelligent and powerful women (just like KD and GPhiB, which both have chapters on my campus!) and that was what I was trying to say. Everyone needs to relax!

Also, I love how ALOT of people (19 pages worth) have been posting pics and saying nice stuff, but I am the one everyone comes down on? Give me a break! Don't bother responding if anyone has anything else to say about the situation, I am pro panhell and I've said my peice!
