High: tomorrow is Friday and I'm on vacation at the beach all next week!
Low: it's pouring rain and I have to walk my dog plus I've got a huge headache! p.s. Erin you will appreciate, my friend is driving to Bloomington tonight for a wedding Saturday and then coming back Saturday night. Yikes, talk about driving! |
Elizabeth...your friend is driving all that way?? Whoa. I hope she enjoys the wedding! If she happens to pass an apartment complex near 37 and sees a girl struggling with boxes and furniture, well, that's me. :D
You'll also appreciate this: Remember how my clinical supervisor came over today? Well, she brought her 3 yo and her 9 mo. I had to giggle at her because she was sooo disappointed that her baby wasn't making cute babbling anymore. Now he's making this funny Daffy Duck sound and won't make "good speech". Oh I about died. (She just can't get out of the supervisor role. ;)) Anyway, Highs: I did have a blast with my clinical supervisor. I think the highlight was 1. her oldest dancing to my dancing gopher (like the one from Caddyshack) and 2. me and Jill running with her stroller as the geese were attacking. Wow. Lows: Well, my dishwasher flooded the kitchen. It was kinda my fault (ok totally my fault but shhhh), but at least I don't have to clean the floor when I move! LOL. |
^ how funny! we therapists have such ideas about what it should sound like!
And hey, one less floor to clean sounds good to me! I hate to do that ;) and p.s. I wish she could help you move, her husband played football at UNC and he's huge. He'd be great to have around!!! |
High: Going camping for a week with my mom tomorrow . . . Followed by visiting my boyfriend in Illinois for a week . . . followed by Jury Duty!!! :)

high: got a new job at the Greek Life Office on campus as an aide. Talk about eat, sleep, and breathing greek life!

Highs: My bf will be coming over sometime tonight. Also, I believe two of my sorority sisters are still coming over tonght. I have an inkling to drag 'em all over to BW3 for one last hurrah.
Lows: Well, I woke up at 5:30am with only 3 hours of sleep. I still need to pack, and I start moving tomorrow (in the rain btw). I went to the allergy doctor today, and I still have to take allergy shots for another 6mo. Yuck! |

Lows: This is pretty low. After nearly two years, my boyfriend and I threw in the towel this weekend. I've been pretty much a sobbing, crying, mess, so if I'm not around for a while, that's why. |

breathesgelatin, I'm so sorry to hear about what happened.
Highs: I don't know, none really. Exactly 1 month left of work and then it's back to school! Yay!!!!! It will be a year and a half out of school and I am so ready. I'm very excited about my program. I know I'll get a good job out of it. Lows: I have a million and a half thinkgs to do and I don't know when I will have the time to do them. I have to get a passport, a drivers license (stupid graduated licensing...you make my life too difficult), blood work for a hospital appintment. I have wo work voer time for the next 2 weeks while someone is on vacation. Part of me regrest agreeing to do it, but the other part of me needs the money. I can't back out now. |

highs: i'm not working in the city anymore so even though i went into my old job today, i feel like im on vacation! getting out at 4pm v. getting out at 8pm (+ commute from nyc) is a huge difference! also... my bday is sunday :-D and i go back to school 2 weeks from tomorrow!!!! aaand my fish (a gift from my pledge mom the first day of pledge mom week.. a wine & blue BETTA fish) is still alive! my bf is fishie-sitting for the summer and i can't believe my fish didnt die yet
lows: im having a lot of issues w/ one of my friends from home (to make a long story short, shes now the lackey of this girl i hate from HS and shes changed SO much which sucks) and i really just miss all of my friends from school so much... its annoying because my sister (who is still in hs) goes out every night w/ her friends and her bf and i hardly go out because ive been working such long hours and bc im only close w/ one of my home friends... but things will be better when i get back to school.. ::Sigh:::rolleyes: |

Highs: Well, I LOVE my apartment, and I'm really loving Bloomington. I have pics of my Pi Phi house and new apartment coming soon. (aka once my bf gets back to IL) Oh, and I'm considering adopting a puppy. :) Lows: My bf just left, and there is a ton of unpacking and cleaning left to do. Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment almost 2 hours away. |
HIGHS: Today I got kisses (nevermind they were from my ex ex-boyfriend who's most recent ex gf HATES ME ;) ) And the DVD I ordered from Amazon arrived in the mail.
LOWS: I was told by a coworker that two other coworkers of mine had started a ridiculous rumor about how I gave a look of disgust to another coworker who made some joke about receiving food stamps (first of all, it was a blatant JOKE and second of all, I do not look down upon anyone for needing them....I dont even know if she needs them or not!!! what the heck?!?!):rolleyes: |
High: I only have 9 days till I head back down to VT and move into the Pi Phi house!

Last year a group of 40 almost complete strangers got together for a weekend away in Collingwood, Ontario. The lady who organized this decided to make it an annual event. I had so much fun last year and I am looking forward to it again this year. I just hope it doesn't rain. Lows: Nothing really, just that I still have a million and one things to do and no time to do them. |
Highs: I am feeling much better about life. And I am house-sitting and pet-sitting for AAC-Financial, and her house is BEAUTIFUL and her doggie and kitty are soooooo cute.
Lows: I actually have to do work! Meh. |

high: tomorrow is my big sis's rehearsal dinner and saturday is the wedding. I LOVE the dress...I feel like a big tiffanys box. I just finished my summer class. School starts in 3 weeks and my roommate Kelsey is coming back next week and I'm SOOOOO... excited since I haven't seen her in over a year(she was in France). I'm preparing myself to have to disaffliate because I'm a recruitment counslor.
low: my car died about a week ago and its still getting fixed, I miss it and hate having to bum rides from my friends and roommates. yesterday they found out that my step mom has cancer. its taken the doctors almost 3 months to find out if she actually had cancer or not. Shes going into surgery next week hopefully all will be good. Shes kind of anal about everything so my dad and I are hoping its a blessing in disguise and she'll realize how short life is to be worrying about everything. Wow I wrote a lot but I have a lot on my brain. Suzi |
highs - getting back from hawaii where i got to seriously hang with OTW!!!! and getting back home to talk to greeklawgirl on a regular "sanity saving" basis again. whew!
lows - low on money and no job but feeling hopeless cause i start grad school at the end of this month and there's poo for jobs that work around a school schedule and still pay decent, grrrrrr... marissa |

Highs: Had an awsome weekend. Went to the beach. Got some sun, went swimming. Had fabulous weather! Hot and sunny all weekend. I had some much fun and I can't wait till next year. Next year we're going to rent a cottage right on the water so we don't have to drive 2 HOURS into Wasaga Beach (and that's only because of traffic...it really only takes 20 minutes from where we are to get Wasaga...it took 2 hours to get into the park)
Lows: I got too much sun. My back, arms, shoulders and chest are so burnt and I'm hurting right now. |
Highs: hmmmm...I'm thinking...ok well I got the schedule today for the alum club for the year and got some dates to help with rush.
Lows: being back at work after vacation is no fun! the pile on my desk is way toooooo high:( Thank goodness for my student! |
High: This is my last week of my internship! Next Tuesday, I move back to the 'Dale for cheerleading camp and freshman mentoring/move-in. :D I'm awfully ready to go back!
Low: This is the last week of my internship! I like my job. Overall, though, I'm ready to be done. |
High: My roommate is leaving MI today to move here. Shes the one I haven't seen in over a year. She'll get here Thursday. My big sis's wedding was beautiful and I had a blast. It was great seeing older pi phis that had graduated.
Low: The wedding was outside and I got attacked by misquitoes and have HUGE red circles on the back of my legs from them(2 are the size(diameter) of softballs while the other is the size of a baseball). Went to the dr. and he gave me medicine but they itch so bad! Suzi |

well its been a while since i have posted.. been running around here and there.. guess thats how summer can be..
first happy belated bday Wine&SilverBlue.. and sorry about your stepmom suzipiphi.. highs: I bought a "new to me" car on friday.. it was practically new.. Honda Civic 2 doors.. I really like it and am proud bc I had been saving money up for a while to get it.. tonight i went to dinner with a friend, its nice to go out after work.. Lows: havent been feeling that great lately.. hopefully with some sleep this weekend I will get over it. The summer has been flying by and I still want to do some many things.. I need a vacation!! |
HIGHS: Today was the first day in over a week that I've had a day off. I spent it shopping w/ my mommy which was very very nice. The weather is amazing here right now, you could swear we were in Bangor Maine and not Iowa with this cool weather in the month of August!!! I got these cute little shoes that are raspberry colored and have little white flower motifs on them...and they're very comfy, I suggest that everyone get a pair! :-p (Josef Sibel makes them)
LOWS: I work tomorrow from 1-close and I would much rather go on a loong bike ride w/ my dad on my bike that's been newly outfitted with those terrifying clipless pedals. Also, all my friends still in college are gearing up for the school year....and for the first time ever.....I am not. :( Welcome to the real world, eh? |
HIGHS: I bought peanut butter cookies at the grocery store, I've started weaning myself off of cola, I made a fairly large sale yesterday and this time tomorrow I'll be in VIRGINIA! :D
LOWS: I have to work 10-8:30 today and then I have a 7:45AM flight tomorrow morning. I'm not going to get much sleep this weekend either on the largest naval base in the US! :p |
