Must have this reply on "speed post" as well. Dumbass :) |
I just don't understand what you're going for here. Are you here just to see how riled up you can get people? Because if that's the case, that's sad, and as I suggested before, why don't you pick up another hobby?
Or do you seriously believe you're going to get people to see your point of view? Because you're not. How does it feel to know that your efforts here are worthless and that you've wasted hours of your life? |

I want you to pull your weight and do the right thing. Do you remember all the things the bros said they would do at the Million Bro March like going to school, taking care of their kids and getting jobs? Does that sound familiar? If you don't see my point then it is your loss. If you don't listen to Obama you will definitely not listen to me. At the end of the day when I have a job and most of your people are sitting on their stoops with 5th grade educations and no money who wasted their lives? What do you think Obama was going for when he gave the speech? |
Quote:
We are "doing the right thing." So your article is kind of pointless. |
Quote:
My post was only pointless if you think Obama's speech was pointless. Do you think the speech he gave to mostly college grads was pointless? Doing the right thing doesn't end at college. How about getting a job and taking care of your kids? |
This is kind of hilarious. I don't even know where to begin!

http://www.census.gov/population/www...n/cps2008.html according to these 86 percent of whites and 82 percent of blacks have a high school education. |

rant/ Yes, there are more whites than Blacks who only have high school diplomas or GEDs. Yes, there are more whites than Blacks on public assistance and who are unemployed. Yes, when looking at the general crime indices whites are more represented than Blacks. HOWEVER, whites (of all ethnicities) comprise over 70% of the population. Blacks are disproportionately (over)represented among the undereducated, unemployed, underemployed, and in general crime rates. This is why Black representation in these social problems is not a matter of mere probability statistics but instead community-specific social ailments. /end rant |

They aren't relatively similar with percentages just as they are not with raw numbers. Is 25% of 100 the same as 25% of 1000? |

the census website has a litany of articles and tables. why hunt when you can google? sounds like an exercise in futility. work smarter, not harder. |

The Census website is easy to navigate. Geesh...yeah...statistics wars are a bad idea for a number of reasons. LOL. |

BFF high school has 58% graduation of an average 200 student graduating class. How would you substantively interpret that beyond looking at the numbers and the fact that 61 is higher than 58? |

A proportion or share in relation to a whole; a part http://www.thefreedictionary.com/rate A measure of a part with respect to a whole; a proportion :) |

:p Thefreedictionary is just reminding you that we express rates as percentages. Whether it means the same thing depends on what you're looking at/who you ask. The point is that the Census was reporting counts and percentages in that educational attainment data. It can be converted to rates if you wish. :) |
With a sample size in the tens of millions (and hundreds of millions for whites) there's a good chance that a 4% difference is actually statistically significant, too.

But...that goes to show the redundancy this dunce has for posting 'information'. |

I answered you question. Are you going to answer mine? What do you think Obama was going for when he gave the speech that makes some of the same points that I am making? |

The numbers are garbage anyway. There are many districts where the teachers were pressured to push students through the system. |

I don't need stats. Just drive through any large city and open you eyes. |
