Yes, we saw the eye contact between him and coach Idina, but his expression was something less than unambiguous. Isn't it possible that he really likes Rachel and that coach Idina encouraged him to set Rachel up? Maybe he doesn't know yet what he's going to do. |
That's what I'm hoping. I hope that he is truly interested in her. It will be interesting to see how that unfolds!
Thanks for humoring me! |

I'm so supremely happy right now.

Loved this episode, though I thought the whole "You guys haven't been respecting the girls!" storyline was out of nowhere.
|
Okay so maybe its because I"ve missed glee and have made it more in my head, but does it feel, different to anyone? idk how to describe it. Maybe the episodes seem rushed, or like, theres more music (not that I don't love music) than there is talking. I don't feel like there was as much music in the earlier episodes. Idk.
Still got chills during like a prayer today. :) |

I definitely am getting that feeling too. There's way more singing, although I'm pretty sure that this being Madge's episode upped the song count. Great episode though! I don't know how I feel about this Santana/Finn deal. I loved Finn last season/half-season, I'm not so sure about him anymore |

If you have ever done musical theater (or are a fan), you'll realize that this show operates the same way (more so now, with having more music). Musicals tell the story through song (and dance). It replaces dialogue. Glee does that - when a character has a feeling or there is an emotional interaction, BAM! they break out in song. |

How funny was, "When I pulled my hamstring, I went to a misogynist." |
I am only a casual Glee fan- the husband is the one who watches every week!- however I was captivated by last night's episode. Madonna was my childhood, with Borderline being released during my 6th grade year, and most of her huge selling albums being released during junior high and high school. Interestingly, the lead (Rachel?) has a better voice than Madonna does, so it was great hearing her versions. I felt like such a dork wanting to get up off the couch and dance the whole night.
Other moments that I loved: the background Madonna's (from many of her videos) while the main characters were singing in the hallways, Sue's "Vogue" and of course the pamphlets on Emma's desk. Good stuff. Mostly though, I just loved the music. Never has a TV show been so much fun! One of the most entertaining hours of television I have ever watched. |

The hair jokes are also way out of left field. They're funny, but why is Sue making so many jokes about Will's hair all of a sudden? |

My husband doesn't get Glee. He thinks it's weird that I am in my 30s and watching a show about high school kids.
I told him it is kind of like eating a Whatchamacallit Candy Bar- yummy and wen you finish you want more, but it doesn't really have any nutritional value- but that's what you need sometimes. Glee is fun and campy and at the end of the hour I always want more, but it's not the news or The Great Gatsby or anything. But not everything has to be! |

OK, for those of us who thought Glee has been feeling a little "different" since coming back from hiatus, I'm curious what you thought about tonight's episode. I thought tonight's show was superb, one of the best they've done. The singing was so beautiful!
It made me realize that I think there's just too much Rachel in most episodes. Not just too much Rachel, but too much neurotic Rachel. It was nice to have a break from the whole Rachel-Finn storyline. I also like that next week it looks like Emma calls Will a "slut!" They certainly have been throwing the women at him lately...a little unbelievable if you ask me. |
I had never had an interest in Glee before. Last night, I had a guest over who asked if she could watch Glee, at least a little bit of it. It was the scene where the plastic has-been woman shows up at the home of the coach and then they start singing a medley of a song I don't know and "A House is Not a Home."
I liked it. :) Might not make it a religious habit, and I will still watch Lost instead, but once Lost is off, I could get into it. |
"How do you two not have a show on Bravo?" :)

I actually loved the interaction between Mercedes and Quinn. That scene could have come across so contrived, but it seemed very organic. Kudos to the writers and actors. I did miss the usual group numbers. I love Kristin Chenoweth, and I really enjoy hearing the Mr. Shu singing, but the club barely had any "sing" time. |

Welcome to the club - we're glad to have you!! :) |
Blahhhh I agree that there can be way too much Rachel, but I thought this episode was too sappy. I love hearing Mr. Schu sing though. I think it's love.
|
To be honest, last night was not one of the better episodes, at least in my opinion. I don't like Will's storyline right now, but his songs just keep getting better and better.
|
"I'm looking to do an all white version of The Wiz".....
lawl... I put this in my FB last night and will post it here: Kristin singing Diana....I think she almost showed Ms. Ross out...but not quiet |
I'm about 15 minutes in, and I can't lie - I'm loving it - that duet between Mr. Schu and Kristin was phenominal - I got goosebumps from head to toe!
|
I loved Kristin.
Did anyone else notice how April said something about "seeing" Shue around. I really hope that is a sign that Kristin will come back for some more eppy's. Of course I was totally hoping for a Kristin and Idina scene (how cool would that have been). To quote christiangirl: "What I wouldn't give for "April" to look at "Shelby" with disdain and say, "I hope you're happy."" Well I can dream |

Didn't Brittany have some good lines in the episode as well? I don't quite remember. I just remember her saying something funny. Oh the sand. Adding sand to their "sue" drink. :p |

I did enjoy hearing other people sing- for example, I like Kurt's voice more than Finn's. A lot of those side characters have fantastic voices. I don't mind having a couple of people sing the most, it makes sense for a show- but I enjoy hearing the others show off too. But... more of the fun energetic songs please? |
I disliked the episode as well. I thought the song choices sucked and were too slow idk. It also didn't seem to set up for much in future episodes?

She seriously has the best lines |
Ever since Glee came back from hiatus, I'm just not loving it the way I used to. The storytelling isn't as good and, even though there are more musical numbers, I'm not impressed. I think the who thing with the V.A. kid is obnoxious. And the only things I am enjoying are Santana and Brit's banter and Will and Sue's insults.
|
Vanilla ice...classic!!!!!!
Am I the only one who wants Rachel and Puck back together? Loved the "puckleberry" line. I've never heard a TV show actually "acknowledge" what fans call the parings of characters. oh commercial break over. show back on.... |
Oh, Rachel... too funny with the guys storming out.
|
The ballet dancer in me is horrified by that last Rachel number. Bent legs + sickled feet + raised shoulders + an untrained girl on pointe shoes = Horror.
|
Loving the lines from next weeks eppy.
"use protection" "Does he mean like a burgler alarm" ROTFLMAO |
