I have never liked Michael Jackson week, except for last season when David Cook sang "Billie Jean". That song won me over to him immediately.

Last night wasn't good, in my opinion. I really hope Adam goes home. I'm already sick and tired of hearing him screech like a dying cat.

What does everyone think of the new voting twist? I won't spoil it if anyone hasn't heard it yet, but I wish it had gone into affect before Season 4, when they needed that rule the most (just saying).

I agree about the runners-up. Both Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson have had better careers than some of those who lasted longer on the show than they did.

Okay, I may get flamed for this, so just bring it on. But here goes:

I am just not getting all the love for Adam Lamberth. At all.

I don't discount that he has a great voice, but he clearly can not shake his theatre roots and his presence is much more in line with that genre. He appears to be trying waaaaaay too hard to convince us that he is a rock star. Deep down he knows that he is not... he just wants to play one on TV.

I also feel like he is trying to molest me with his eyes with the way he looks into the camera. Blegh. Constantine was one thing, but Adam is so over the top in this regard.

Plus, I find his emotions completely annoying. Somehow when Jorge cries it is endearing and genuine. However, I am so over seeing Adam on the verge of tears every single week. Enough already.

I was kinda hoping Slash coulda showed up just to make that performance worth watching. I want my minute and a half (or however long it took) of my life back.

Not surprised about Jorge going home, but kind of surprised about Jasmine, I thought she'd have a built in fan base of young girls who vote for people who look like Disney princesses :) But, I'm glad they didn't waste the, Save the Singer, vote on either of them...

I'm kinda meh about Adam. The kid can sang, but I agree, he's a Broadway type. And the way his tongue juts out when he hits the big/high notes grosses me out (and they always go in tight at those moments - why, camerapeople, why??).

I loved Jasmine but wasn't surprised she went home. I would MUCH have preferred Megan go home. She's a one-trick pony, IMO, very limited in the types of songs she'll be able to sing. I was sorry to see Jorge go but someone had to and I wasn't overly invested in him. Really thought Anoop might've bought it early (he should be thanking his lucky stars and better BRING IT next week!).

My faves remain Lil, Danny and the little blond mom with the pink in her hair, her name escapes me at the moment.

Oh! And re: the rule change, I don't mind it but I think it actually makes the sending-home process a little more brutal, the judges get to look them square in the eye and say "no, sorry" if they don't save them. Ouch!

I am very happy Adam stayed! I love him....I have a few thoughts about him...he is either a huge musical type, or he is gay, or both. I am not going gay bashing here, I have no problems with it, I just have that Clay Akin like feeling.

I also like Danny and Anoop, except for Alexis none of the girls impress me.

I am so happy Jasmine went home! I thought the judges would have saved her! They have liked her from the start! I think she is sooo fake!

The entire time he sounded like a whiny drag queen. All I could picture was him singing in a room full of guys making out.

Adam's performance was hideous. As someone else said, I felt like I was watching a drag act. But as bad as his was, I thought Megan's was worse. She kinda sings like she's half burping-half singing.

She's the VFTW contestant right now. She's not going anywhere, IMO.

I would like to say that NO ONE should EVER be allowed to do a Johnny Cash or Patsy Cline song on AI --EVER...

I am SO THANKFUL that no contestant was stupid enough to sing George Jones' He Stopped Loving Her Today. THAT, my friends, would have had me hurling objects and curse words at my tv... It makes me sick that they even gave it as an OPTION...

What I found interesting with him... a little while back, someone here said that they didn't think Simon would be willing to tell Scott what he really thinks of his singing, simply because he's blind. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that after Simon said that Scott had made a poor song choice, Paula said to him, "That's disrespectful."

I didn't think this was as bad as previous country weeks. I liked Adam, Danny, Anoop, Kris, Michael, and even Allison was alright. I did not care for Scott or Lil, and I thought Alexis and Adam were terrible.

Apparently I drank the "kool-aid" because I am actually liking Megan. I hate the little sway/dance she does when she sings, but she's sounding very blues-y...like a big band type singer. Did anyone else think the stylists made her look like Reese Witherspoon last night?

I can't stand Megan's "dance" moves. I don't know if she does them out of nerves or if she thinks they actually look good (I hope that's not the case), but they definitely don't. Adam is my least favorite contestant, but she's a close second.

I also heard Scott's comments about losing his song choices in "hat picks." Can an AI guru explain that to me..?

Megan is a dead ringer for my old college roommate - it is freaky!!! She was beautiful too - an SMU Rotunda Beauty. Strange! I can't watch her without having sympathy feelings because of the resemblence - But - she was terrible.

I loved Kris and will buy that song on Itunes today. I thought it was so beautiful, like you could imagine him singing it to his wife - such a love song.

The rest - Anoop good, Matt good, the rest meh.

Am I the only one who finds Megan's dancing to be AWFUL? It truly makes me want to poke my eyeballs out. Srsly.

One more comment on last night -

I am really getting sick and tired of the whole Paula/Simon feud. It is distracting and self indulgent. Why can't they disagree without this pretend/or notso pretend fight every time?

I feel sorry for the contestant who is standing up there dying to hear what they think (and let's admit it, they really want to know what Simon thinks rather than Paula). The fight between them about Scott was embarassing- for them and for Scott IMO.

Also, last week, the bickering took so much time that the last few contestants were barely critiqued.

Scott mentioned the "hatpicks" and I thought that meant there were some songs that more than one contestant wanted to sing, so they drew names out of a hat to see who got to sing them.

well, johnny cash was doing NIN songs, and he changed that up a bit...

I loved it. I think it was wicked and dark, and the song lyrics work with it... to me though, he sounded like the Darkness, not NIN

Adam's problem is... the people that are going to REALLY think that was awesome... were not watching the show... he would be more suited to Rockstar INXS... of course, they don't have that anymore

I thought Adam was terrible last night! Can he please go home already? I did not know what to think about his song last night. I agree with everyone who has already said it sounded like a drag queen performance. I do not see why everyone likes him so much. You don't butcher Johnny Cash's songs! You can tell that Randy Travis didn't know what to think himself.

I thought Matt and Kris were awesome last night! Definitely my favorite performances of the night.

Okay, I'll be the voice of dissent here - Megan wasn't THAT bad and I kinda liked it.

I also enjoyed Matt, Kris, Anoop, Danny, and Allison. I couldn't even bear to watch or listen Adam. I enjoy Adele's version of "Make You Feel My Love" so much that I forgot Garth Brooks (and a whole crapload of others) sang it once too.

I won't be sad if Alexis, Megan, or Sarver go home. It even seems like Lil Rounds gets more and more boring every week.

I agree with you OTW! Adam was awful and to me he has been very fake since day one. Allison is one of my top favorites and Anoop was really good last night. I still like Kris and afterall he is married to an AOII!
