Its officially then end of the world, its hit the $4.00+ mark in El Paso.

I got an email the other day about how to save gas, and one was to not buy gas during the day---to either fill your tank up in the morning or in the evening when the temperature is cooler. At first I didn't think it mattered until this last time I filled up my tank and got a lot less mileage!!

Not yet. I filled up Saturday for $3.89 and the next day that same station was $3.99.

Energy Dept. says oil, gas prices to stay high

WASHINGTON - Motorists can expect gasoline prices around $4 gallon through next year, the Energy Department said Wednesday, with oil prices staying well above $100 a barrel.
Crude oil prices are likely to average $126 a barrel in 2009, $4 higher than this year, as oil supplies and demand are expected to remain tight, Guy Caruso, head of the department's Energy Information Administration, told a House hearing.....

So i only looked at the first link, and it contained a little of the same information----mainly about how gas expands at higher temps. Although snopes says its false, when you have temps of 100+, it there has to be some expansion, the tanks can't stay cool the whole time.

Arg! My cheap station is at $4.54 a gallon :(

jon1856 06-12-2008 10:23 AM

The "best" nearest to me is now $4.33:(:mad:

How about $4.55 for regular?!?! Cost me an arm and leg to fill up.

The good news is my company has offered employees a deal. We can turn in our parking pass for the summer and they will give us a bus pass good for our route to work for the whole summer. I'm definitely leaning towards doing it.
