It's more of the reasoning behind why your chose the national. adpiucf is referring to PNMs who think they want ABC because they are the prettiest, most popular girls and they are very big and strong, blah blah blah.
It's different when a PNM is interested in a chapter because of the values, programming, etc associated with the national. From what I've gathered, this is what the driving force behind how most NPHCers choose their GLOs.

1) Red
2) Orange

and a Bid at Orange

Let me tell you, I cried like a little bitch at my pref for my org. from the minute I walked in the door. I had pledge sisters who were at my pref. say that they were like "what's wrong with that girl". I made the sister who was preffing me cry! Crying at pref. is usually a good sign. (LOL-I still have mad love for my good sister who had to take my ultra-snotty tissue from me since I couldn't leave with a napkin! "Rush infraction!")
