Thanks! I have to see if I can get someone to do this for me. The plants are in PA, I'm in exile in IL.

Speaking of gardening questions, I just recently moved into a new house, and there are some flowers on the side of the house that seems to get plenty of sun through the day. I have no idea what flowers are there, I know they're not weeds but I can't identify them as far as what they are. They're taller and a pale purple. At any rate, I'm not crazy about them although I want to leave them at least until the fall as there are a regular flow of bees that come by to pollenate.

I'm looking for suggestions to replace these flowers. Mind you I need a plant/flower that is not super high maintenance. The section of yard I have is about 3 feet wide and 8 feet long. Where I live we do have 4 seasons and get an average amount of rain.

I would call my county extension agent for recommendations specific to my area.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will certainly do that, they might have some ideas on plants that are mosquito deterrents as they can be horrendous during the summer.

Starting a garden was a goal once I moved to my new place since I'd have a little bit more yard to work with. The previous owners did some nice landscaping in most of the yard but there's a small area that's just sort of blah.
