Off hand, I do not know. I am sure a Tri Sigma should be able to answer that.

Maybe she was a... (wait for it)... an AI?

LOL. She went to UW. The Gamma Phi IHQ website says she was a member of Lambda Chapter. Lambda Chapter is at UW.

(I think it's easy to debunk the Tri Sigma membership with this one) ;)

here's a list of famous delta zetas...

Mercedes Bates (Theta) – first female corporate officer of General Mills Foods. After being appointed to head the Betty Crocker division, she was often referred to as "Betty Crocker".
Joy Behar – host of The View on ABC
Marti Dodson (Theta) – lead singer for national recording artist, Saving Jane
Nanette Fabray (Xi Omicron) – actress, worked to bring sign language and captioning to television
Edith Head (Alumna Initiate, Mu) – Emmy Award-winning designer; 7-time Oscar winner in costume design
Florence Henderson (Alumna Initiate, Alpha Chi) – actress, (The Brady Bunch)
Maurine Brown Neuberger (Omega) – former US Senator
Pat Priest (Alpha Chi) – actress, (The Munsters)
Ivy Baker Priest (Alpha Chi) – Former United States Treasurer
Marcia Wallace (Delta Nu) – TV and stage actress
Kay Yow (Zeta Lambda) – women's basketball Coach, NC State

i find the most exciting two to be florence henderson, and mercedes bates!

I don't know why Delta Zeta would want to claim her after her on-air comments last year following the DePauw mess. She said that she was "ashamed" to have been a member and that when she was president of her DZ chapter at Queens College, the chapter seceeded from the National, due to disagreements over membership selection.

They do not currently have a chapter at either school.

Jennifer Dunn was definitely a Gamma Phi Beta. She's been written about in our sorority's magazine many times and IIRC several years ago she was a special guest at at Founders Day event at her former chapter (Lambda - UW). She was also an alumna of my high school and my aunt knew her back in da' day. :p

Tau Kappa Epsilon is proud to say that Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers is a member of our fraternity.

Delta Chi has many of it's brothers go on to become successful and famous. Names like Benjamin Harrison, William Jennings Bryant, Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher are among the most recognizable of our alumni. But one trumps even these great men.

No offense but, how does a "shooting victim" constitute as someone who is famous? It's unfortunate but, AXiD has many other important/ famous women to mention a unfortunate shooting victim.

Debbie Phelps (and her daughters)-mother a Michael Phelps
Kathryn Stockett-Author of "The Help" which is being adapted into a movie
Dana Ivey-Actress (who just happens to be in the new movie, "The Help")
Evette Simmons-Former President of the National Bar Association (also a Delta Sigma Theta)

Ann Bowden-Wife of Bobby Bowden (FSU Football Coach) and mother of the Bowdens who are coaches at other schools

I'm sure there are more but, I don't want to add anymore, tonight.

She wasn't a victim of a random shooting. The Kent State shootings were a big deal.

But...

same question to you: how are mothers and wives of famous people counted as famous?
