Started rereading Dune for the first time in 8 or 9 years, I forgot how hard a read it is, but I am enjoying it more now i think.

Funny story about Sarum: I was reading it on a plane to go visit my then fiance, and the (very handsome, obviously monied) guy offered to take me to his chateau based on my reading the book! Talk about the "I wonder if..." times of one's life! |

Couldn't get into either which is too bad b/c I enjoy sci-fi. ETA: I realized the ridiculous grammatical mistake in my post after Psi U quoted me. Oh well. I'm not going to fix it. |

ETA: Alice has a lot more "sophisticated" language than I remember it to have....but I guess that will happen when you haven't read it in like 12 or so years lol. I should have splurged on the new Alice in Wonderland book I saw at B&N cause at least it has better pictures. Maybe I can find it for cheap on Amazon (i <3 that place if you can't tell) lol |

Yeah this book doesn't have the same pictures as the "Classics" (B&N classic, Penguin classic, etc) books have. I personally like it, but there was a review that didn't particularly like it. It's different than the old traditional Alice pictures, but I really liked it. But it was $17, and I couldn't justify it to myself (especially when the other book I got was MUCH cheaper) lol Alice's Adventures in Wonderland |
I'm reading Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. He's by far my all-time favorite contributor on This American Life.
|
I just started reading: Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American left, from Mussolini to the Politics of Change by Jonah Goldberg
|
I just started the House of Night series (PC Cast), which I found in the YA section, next to Twilight. However, being that the F-word shows up like 4 times in the first chapter, I don't know how "YA" I would consider it.:(

I'm reading The Eternity Artifact by L.E.Modesitt,Jr. I've read just about everything of his and love most all of them.
|
Wench, by Dolen Perkins-Valdez

I'm a little weird because I'm reading like 3 books right now. I do a little of each one depending on the mood I'm in because they are all 3 different genre's. (If that makes sense).
The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray The Cliet by John Grisham Not My Daughter by Barbara Delinsky |
I don't have time to read much now...I've been reading The Likeness by Tana French since November. I did manage to read Shutter Island by Denis Lehane last semester and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie version
