Try Emetrol (spelling?) anti-nausea liquid. So, so sorry - I had this a week and a half ago.

Literally.

I'm sorry you're so sick.

He felt guilty and brought me pedialyte and applesauce, and a SQUIRREL! Sadly I puked all of that up repeatedly, and started talking crazy so he took me to the ER. I got hooked up to an IV and felt a lot better.

I'm not sick but I have one of the biggest zits I've ever had right on my chin. Dear Lord! I don't think I've had a zit this gnarly since I was 15!

I'm on my third sinus infection of the year. I guess what really sucks about it is that I had never had one before this year, and now I've had three. What gives? I never knew how much these things hurt - I feel like someone's been kicking my nose and cheeks from inside my head.

Hubby has the stomach bug that's going around. My daughter has had a cough for two weeks, and my son has the flu. Why must we all get sick at once?

I still have a cough, have been sick for like two weeks, though, on and off fighting a cold. Then last week it won and I was miserable but have been working through it, going to the gym has helped.

I started getting a lot of sinus infections when I moved to Idaho. These are the things that influenced my condition.
Allergies - something that grows here I'm allergic to. I'm also allergic to mold and it was in my old apartment.

Adenoids - my adenoids grew back (wtf? I had them removed many years prior) and were infected.

Deviated septum - my nose had been broken and because of the first two issues, it couldn't drain the infection (eww).

Antibiotic resistance - I had been given so many different drugs with poor results that the infection never went away, and not much worked.

Try and see if you can get a referral to an ear nose and throat doctor and/or an allergist. I'm so much better after multiple surgeries and allergy treatments. Also getting a sinus rinse kit helps so much, and they are pretty much safe for everyone, even pregnant women since it is just warm water and salt squirted up your nose.

You puked up the squirrel? Damn!

Sometimes you just get so dehydrated that you can't keep anything down. That happened to me with food poisoning once. The ER was a good call. Once your body chemistry is that out of whack, only IV rehydration and some strong antiemetics will help.

I don't know what's wrong with me. I've been waking up in the middle of the night (sometimes 2 or 3 times every night) because i've been sooo hot. Yet I turn on the fan, or change clothes and still nothing. And i'll wake up with a sore throat, and by the middle of the day it's gone.

I just feel so fatigued, and I'm so easily irritable. Ugh. And all this started when I had my period, so I though it would go away when it went away. Yet 2 weeks later it's still happening (the sickness, not the period. lol)

KappaKittyCat 11-23-2008 07:10 PM

I have had a headache for several days. Nothing makes it go away for any extended period of time: caffeine, ibuprofen, Aleve, bananas, water, etc.

Ugh...bf got me sick. In his defense, he got me sick last time. My throat is sore and my nose is super runny. I don't want to get up early to help out at my Norwegian club, but I said I would and I know they need me. I don't want to go to bed cause I wanna talk to my boo! Life is freaking tough...

Thank you, VandalSquirrel! I had never heard of these until your post prompted some research. I recently bought a NettiPot and have used it a few times - it's wonderful! I was reluctant at first to pour water up my nose, but once I got past the initial weirdness, I've learned to really appreciate it. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Dude with a cold the lutefisk won't smell or taste so bad. I wish I was coming home at the end of the month so we could wear our Norwegian sweaters and make lefse :(

I can't do the netti pot style, but the squeeze bottle works wonders. After one of my sinus surgeries it was a lifesaver with the dissolving packing they crammed in there. I had the worst headache and by rinsing it got a huge chunk out and all the pressure was gone.

I wish people would stop coming in to work sick. Coming in and then staying two feet away from everybody is not a solution. Do NOT come in and then say "Stay back, I'm sick so I want to stay away from you" Unless you refrain from touching ANYTHING that anybody else will have to touch, you are spreading your germs. ARG! We have sick days for a reason people!!!!
