But Steph, you all knew each other and we made it a point to know you guys and for you guys to know us before you were selected. :p There's no way someone could have hid they were a single parent. The point of pledging is to build trust as you bond and learn about your sister. Staying strong and enduring.

Soror...you misunderstood my post...I didn't hide the fact I was a parent or my age...I just didn't make those facts the preamble to everything I said or did while around my pros before I was selected...I knew the reputation of my chapter and that I would be ummm "busy" alot and I didn't want the fact that I was a mother be the automatic reason I wasn't selected..when my line "hung out" it was usually at my house because I had my daughter, she was no secret....with the current case in this thread, why would it be necessary for the soror to put her sexuality out there...heterosexuals don't greet people with "hello I'm so and so and by the way I'm straight"...just like with being selected for a job, its human nature that people's personal biases and beliefs will come into play when they are making selections...I have a LS that we all kinda suspect is possibly gay, does it matter to me? No, why should it, do you...I went through hell and high water with my line but my two LSs that I'm best friends with I learn new stuff about them all the time...hell I learn new things about my siblings still...I can't be mad at soror for going through her process as a woman who happens to be a lesbian as opposed to a lesbian who is becoming a Delta...I'm sure there's so much more that she is bringing to the table...
ETA: just read what went down in the posts yesterday...definitely not condoning the disrespect that went on..I'm sure young soror is just hurting and frustrated though...like I said earlier, let the haters hate and know that Delta is bigger then your chapter...best of luck to you...
