This was a quote from our national website's archives. I did not pull this out of thin air. If you have a problem with it, then I suggest you take it up with ZTA IO. Would you care to share some crow with 33Girl? |
Thats right, eat your words. Heck, you actually said it best:

Just calling 'em like I see 'em-you are an idiot, so its hardly an incorrect name to call you.
And it must be hard for you, constantly wrong all the time. You've yet to prove any of us wrong, you just keep solidifying your stupidity. |
As much as I personally detest BBS, I must say, she is indeed correct with her information. This is how it is explained to us during the NM period.
Apparantly, there were, at the time, some groups who were using sorority AND were founded as a sister organization to male fraternities. That was their main purpose. In an effort to show their independence from men, they designated themselves as a women's fraternity rather than a sorority. Women's fraternity was the original term. Of course, perhaps they were just trying to be different from SSS at the time? This way, they were showing that they were not a sister organization. They were showing themselves equal in some way to their male counterparts by using the term women's fraternity. I am looking into it further. |
Thank you Tippiechick, for sharing the entire story. Its so much better than someone who gets defensive when asked for more information about something they post! And even then, gets super defensive about it!
No one was really doubting what she was told, its just all the attitude & moronic posts that followed! |

Your welcome. I know how difficult it is to try and have a civil discussion with certain people... I thought I would clarify rather than attack everyone wanting more info. |
Haha, before I read throughly all the posts (I just skimmed through it :p )
Most important, IMO, is to have a solid interest group (prefer a fairly large one) that you can trust and you feel that would stick with you thick or thin to the end. I and a few friends tried to charter this one sorority to our campus, however there was not enough girls interested enough to charter one and sadly enough, it failed. Good luck :) |
