Could it be true??? Could there really be a hair transplant option for me? I tried on five different occasions to get hair transplants ten years ago... I was unsuccessful every time! I was always so sad when I saw all my friends coming back from the salon with their hair transplants...I gave up on trying to find my hair transplant salon "home" but the dream never died.

AXO Alum I'm so happy that you're posting your story, because I know know how easy it is to get hair transplants even after unsuccessfully trying for years. THANK YOU GC!!! Without GC I would have never known about this option for me! I'm coming home, salon! Tonight I start my new journey!!! OMGZ!!!!!111!one!!11!eleventy1!!

Please put me on the list as a PNHT (potential new hair transplantee!)! I'm so happy6 to be coming home, future transplant sisters!!!

Do you know which salon you would like to try? Even though I am partial to my own salon, I would love to put you in contact with other salons! Good luck, and I hope all your hair-filled dreams come true!

If HT doesn't work out, perhaps you could FOUND your own salon???

I am a proud charter member of my chapter of LOCKS FOR LOVE and while it was hard work, it was worth it!

WOW! I get to be a jewel! Okay...I want to be the onyx because I have black hair (but it's thinning, which is why I need transplants, lolz!).

I'm soooo glad I found you guyz because I'm really sort of awkward and weird IRL and I'm glad my internet friends can help make my hair transplant dreams come true!

You should wear white shoes when you go to actually get the transplants, too.

White shoes? Eww...socks with the rubber grippy things are so much more comfortable and you don't have to worry about slipping and tearing out a stitch...or a plug.

I dunno, I'm way too busy with work and everything, besides, I want to be part of a group where wherever I go nationally, people will recognize the name of the salon!

EDIT!!!
Oh but that's not to mean that I'd be too busy for Britney, Jessica, Paris, Nicole or Lindsay! Just too busy to found my own!

That's ok. No matter how awkward and weird you are, there's always an HT group for you.

*Puts onyx stone on the "PNHT Necklace".*

You can't just waltz into any salon you like. There are requirements you know. For instance, what percent of your hair have you lost? We need to see pictures to best direct you.

but what if her salon requires white shoes and she hasn't bought them? I think AXO Alum should buy shoes AND socks in every color so when a salon calls her, she's prepared to run over and get her HTs!

I am reporting everyone particularly those who are so cruel as to post "Alopecia Awareness" in their signatures. This is a PHYSICAL DISORDER!

I am now leaving in a huff yet will lurk and continue to report people.

valkyrie 10-13-2006 03:59 PM

Some of you are HYPOCRATES and your self importantness is underwhelming.

Hair transplants are for everyone and they will be discussed here no matter what you or anyone else thinks of it!!!  :D

Oh my, we forgot about the SOCKS requirement.

Socks are a must. Especially with dresses and dresspants.

kstar 10-13-2006 04:00 PM

I just want to make sure that you are getting your hair transplant for the right reason.

Don't just do it to fit in with us people who have a thick, full head of hair. Do it because it was what you were meant to do.

And don't shop around- you should only get a hair transplant from some one you have a personal connection with.

tunatartare 10-13-2006 04:01 PM

My salon requires that people wear Ugg boots when getting hair transplants.
