Our placement rate is pretty high. Everyone who gets invited to at least one pref will get a bid somewhere. We had about 100 PNMs going into prefs this year and they all received bids. Every once in a great while, a girl will get dropped by everyone before preference, but that definitely isn't the norm.

Thanks for the great story - sounds like it all worked out in the end, as we always hope it will.

Was in a similar situation - was down to only one of the sororities I really liked, and know how nerve-wracking that can be.

Congratulations to your friend and AZD!!!

Hooray for Beth and Alpha Xi Delta!!!

KSUViolet06 11-01-2006 05:53 PM

So, Beth read this the other night and cried! She really liked the way I wrote her thread and was suprised (in a good way) that there ARE people on the internet who care about sororities.

Anyway, she is really enjoying Alpha Xi Delta. Her big/little revealing was this weekend and she is having alot of fun with her new big and family. She is also already signing up for committees and such and even wants to run for Exec once she is initiated.

Yay! I love when that happens!!

Hey guys, just to update you:

Beth was initiated in late November and now serves on 3 different chapter committees. In addition, she was voted "Most Dedicated New Member" a few weeks ago by the entire chapter! She also has 2 new Littles! She is pretty much "Super AZD".

note: JocelynC is my old username.

Another Beth update:

She went to Alpha Xi Delta Convention this past week. She spent about 2 hours on the phone with me last night going on and on about how much fun she had!

She is totally pumped for her first recruitment as an active, because she loves people, and also because her younger sister will be rushing this fall! Who knows, maybe they'll end up being double sisters!

I personally think that my friend's thread is a great thread for PNMs to read just because it shows that you aren't always going to get invited back to EVERY sorority that you like, but if you stick it out and maximize your options, you can end up somewhere that you'll be happy with.
