Can't agree more - I went on one of the tours last summer with my diamond sister, her husband, and her mom when we went to Boston...it was an AWESOME experience.

Yay for Colonel Duck Tape! ;)

No Problem! I may not be attending convention but if you guys have any questions about the city let me know! Being a Boston native and having lived there 20 yrs of my life means I've got plenty of useless knowledge about the city...well as useless as it can be when I'm on the west coast most of the year!

Unless I'm totally blind, they didn't give us options of things we could do :(

I just checked my registration, nope no options.

It kind of bites because I wanna see Boston, but I already marked that I would take the shuttle to and from the airport. I didn't even think about a rental car, until today, so that I could go sightseeing during voting times and 'down' time. Boo to me be a blonde.

It talks in the registration information packet (the 16-page Adobe file) that for free time on Friday, "Pick up a boxed lunch and spend the afternoon enjoying the amenities offered at the resort or venturing out into the surrounding area. There is so much to see and do in the Greater Boston area during your free time. Information on tour options will be sent with your Convention confirmation. Please refer to the "About the Greater Boston area" in the General Information section of this document and visit the following websites..."

Hope this helps, Bri :)

Co-sign on what polarpi said...it listed a few options for Friday which included Salem Witch Trial and the Duck Tours. I didnt read it too closely and just assumed those were the free day options not open ended suggestions. Who knows might still work out.

Even if they dont give you those options I can give you a few ideas on how to get into the city...the great thing about Boston is the public transportation system so its not to hard to get around.

That would've been my fault, FnF - the first time I typed it, my brain didn't work completely ;)

I'm looking forward to meeting you! :)

So I called today and my faxed registration got through. Whew! I was worried. I guess I should be expecting an email (or something) in a couple of days. Woo Hoo! I'm so excited! Is it June yet?!?

HBADPi 04-17-2007 06:45 PM

The chapter has sent off the registration forms for the president and standards advisor to attend. They were able to book red eye flights out of LAX leaving Tuesday night and will be getting in Wednesday morning.

asuadpi and polarpi - were you able to get any red eye flights so you could make it on time for Wednesday?

FirstAndFinest 04-17-2007 07:51 PM

OMG! When is the registration deadline?!

polarpi 04-17-2007 11:00 PM

FnF - I think the deadline is this Friday, the 20th.

HB - I'm actually going in the day before, so I'm leaving Tuesday morning, and go for the "pre-Convention" workshop on Wednesday.

HBADPi 04-18-2007 01:21 PM

Yep this Friday but it just has to be postmarked by the 20th so you have time!

adpideltaup 04-18-2007 11:46 PM
