Yay Marie!! I think it's terrific! Now that you know basic stuff, I'm sure you can develop your skills further using your own graphics, etc. I'm so proud of you!!!! :) :) Yay for my awesome sisters!!

Seriously, you don't know how happy you have made me! :D :D :D

Even if you are the only one that makes one, it's all worth it now!

i never knew you could click inside the black lines of something and fill it in with color. For some reason I thought it wouldn't do this. Will it work inside any colored lines (or do they always have to be black?)

WhiteDaisy128 03-15-2005 04:38 PM

Yeah, it'll work in colored lines too...as long as the color is different from what it is touching...you can change the color of anything...later I'll work on throwing up something to teach you a cool color changing trick. I'm working on Web Page reviews now...;)

I'll have to start trying this. I'm not generally that imaginative but what the heck. It's always fun to try something new.

Greek Banner Tutorial

I'll work on some more requests in a little bit (read: probably tomorrow).

Thanks for the tutorial! I tried to follow it, but got stuck on step 11. I'm using Photoshop 5.0, so I guess it's a little different...

When I double click on the layer name to try to add a shadow and bevel the edge, it doesn't come up with a menu where I can do that. (It just comes up with an option to rename the layer.) Anyone know how I get to the shadow-adding part?

WhiteDaisy: Thanks for making this banner for me! I'm so glad I PM'd you with my request...this banner is wonderful! Like RocketGirl said, all of our sisters LOVE it! :D

TigerLilly,

I also tried it with Photoshop 5.0 and got stuck in the same spot, with the same problem. I thought it was because I was using a demo version, but I guess not. If you figure out how to solve the problem, I'm love to hear it!

In case any of you are on Macs and care, the new version of Photoshop is coming out and is supposed to have a lot of new add-ins. I don't know how it works with Tiger but they leaked the press release early.

Ok, so here was my attempt. I had a lot of trouble getting the colours to display properly after adding special effects. :( Oh well, I guess it's ok for my first time trying to do some of this.

Just an FYI - I am on a Macintosh using Photoshop 5.5 and I had no trouble. Then again, I wasn't following the instructions word for word - I had to look in other menus to get to some of the items she talked about.

Thanks so much for the tutorial - WhiteDaisy128, you rock!

.....Kelly :)
