Ok, I'm not sure I'm following you here. Sometimes internet trolls are just annoyances and sometimes they cross the lines into real life. I wasn't trying to say that S&S, Jules and co. are making this up or overexaggerating.

I was trying to illustrate that a similar thing happened to me a couple of months ago. When we tried to warn people about stalker guy, they brushed us off saying it was probably just a little personal disagreement between a couple of people. One person even said that she thought it was "just an ego clash". But it WASN'T. It was one dude going a little nutty on us and getting bizarre. Someone in our club even passed along notes from Stalker Guy to us saying that, if we didn't like it, we could just ignore the messages.

When we finally broke down and aired all of the evidence, people came to a fuller understanding of the situation and how it was emotionally affecting us. Several club members apologized for not taking us seriously in the first place.

Similarly, simply saying that "So and so is harassing us off of GC" isn't necessarily going to get people behind you. The "faker" in question "seems ok" to most people here and thus some GCers aren't taking the thread seriously.

Regardless of what side of the fence you're on about this situation, I think we're all in agreement that when cyberstalking moves to the point that anyone has to fear for his/her safety in real life then that's a step that's gone a step too far. No one asks to be put in that situation. It's no cakewalk when it happens to you.

IHE/Mullet/enter next screen name, I hope you get the help you need to deal with your problems.Obviously she felt acceptance from the women involved on GC and she didn't have that in her real life. She wanted to belong so bad ,even if it was just a message board on the internet, enough to be able to do this twice. That's a real sad situation.

Since her persona was as a moderator the first time around, I hope some rules have been put in place to verify membership of those who apply to be future moderators of specific GLO message boards.

I disagree that this situation only effects the women who were betrayed by her actions.Sandy was right.IHE/Mullet could have perped that she was from the Girl Scouts, the point is her actions will have consequences to this message board. People may leave the board, be less friendly, less trusting or avoid offline contact all together or John can close the message board altogether. It was brave for the people involved to come forward. Forwarned is forarmed.

If you've been on GC for more than a year you can see how things change because of the few actions of others. :(

I cannot believe that there are people in this thread who are actually DEFENDING IHE/Mullet in a way.

Honestly, although the stalking incidents are upsetting, I don't think any sort of stalking is really even necessary for the general GC population to be interested in this incident. IowaHawkeye was both a MODERATOR and a PERP... and she obviously didn't learn her lesson the first time around. She has not been deceiving just the H&A. Think of how the Delta Zetas and Alpha Xi Deltas must feel, to know that someone perping their organization is getting mixed support from the GC community.

Seriously you guys... she's a liar. That isn't enough for y'all? She has to commit some ban-able offenses before you care? I cannot comprehend how some people can say that this is not relevant to the board. It was posted in Chit-Chat, where it belongs... it's completely appropriate. Contrary to what some people may think, I don't think IHE/Mullet was outed to promote any sort of H&A agenda/conspiracy.

Okay, I just want to throw in my $0.02 here....I really only remember seeing about a dozen of Mullet's posts....and I think I remember that I didn't really care for her. However, I never caught any references to Alpha Xi Delta. She also never posted in the AZD forum. Did she make these references to being a member of AZD on GC?

I don't know what your issue is. I've never come on and upset you, insulted you, or said anything bad about you whether you care for my posts or not.

I have responded to this before. I do not harass you people. I want nothing to do with Tom yet I get harassed by him. He made his name into his username and wasn't upset about putting his public info on greekchat. As soon as I did it I was threatened with a banning.

Now as for you guys. You went and found out my name. You went and put up my pictures on here. How messed up is it to past someone's baby pictures on here?? I don't even talk to a lot of you. I don't care to. I specifically asked some of you nicely to remove my info and couldn't understand why and you all understood I was upset that you had put it on there. It was upsetting that you had also all gotten so caught up in this that several of you had to search on the net to find out this info about me and girls I didn't even know before (adpimel) decided to post info about me too. I have said that before. When this happened nobody talked about banning you.

So again, don't try and compare apples and oranges and I would prefer it if you put me damn well on ignore if it made you happy. As far as I'm concerned I don't know enough about what Mullet/IowaHawkEye did. Am I concerned? No because it doesn't affect me. Do I know everything? No probably not. Do I have sympathy for Jules? Yes and I think she knows that because I've never said anything to show her otherwise. She knows I was upset when you guys (not naming names) decided to come on here and make fun of people's looks like that when they had done nothing to you. I was upset when people made mocking livejournals and whatnot. That I won't budge on. You can say I upset people sometimes but I never go out looking to hurt someone and yes, people can be hurt by words on the internet just as you were upset when colonist made remarks about a girl being overweight so I think you should understand.

Wow... I just caught up on all of this, and all I can say is :eek:

She was very tight lipped about her "affiliation" for a long time, but I do recall reading about IU and AXiD on GC. I tried looking for posts to prove the above info, but I can't find anything -- she's probably edited/deleted everything (something reflective of what she did last year as IHE, she spent almost the whole day cleaning up her lies).

She participated in some of those "lively" AIM chats last year, and I'm certain that she revealed her GLO more than once, not only to me, but to the room. Still, she was extremely tight lipped about it, probably because she didn't want to be outed again.

I know I don't have proof (it's probably gone), and y'all can take my word or not, but still -- I'm 100% sure that I did not pull out AXiD's Indiana University chapter out of my butt.
