If she didn't want fame then why did she whore herself out to any company that wanted her?

kddani 06-28-2004 02:26 PM

Interesting to note that she also got paid to do those interviews that are linked to here. Yeah, they say the interviewer declined to comment if they paid her or not, but that declining to comment = confirmation that they paid her.

Okay, this is SO not true! My husband wears a 38, sometimes a 40, and he has almost NO fat on his body! He works out like a mad man and runs constantly! He lost a lot of weight during the deployment, and he's just TOO skinny! I'd post a pic, but I don't know how!

Anyways, I agree totally with what Danielle said. She has been more than compensated for her 'time'. She'll be more remembered than many presidents! I don't think Clinton owes anyone anything, except to just shut up and go away.

aj

38 on his chest right? It has to be. Because there is no way that you can convince me a guy can be 38 on his waist and TOO skinny.

Also, she had that line of purses or underwear or something.

She may have felt burned before, but no one made her do any of the stuff. She could have faded into anonymity. But, no.

Yes -- purses. I actually have one, LOL. My handbag fetish knows no bounds.

I personally think she wasn't too bright if she expected to give the most famous and powerful man in the world oral sex and keep it a secret. She knew he was the president. She was the one who blurted first, not Clinton. Nice girls don't kiss and tell. (Or nice boys, for that matter.) If she had kept her mouth shut (no pun intended) then she would have much less to worry about. But then she wouldn't have her own TV show and handbag line either. Fame comes at a price.

Nope, his chest is bigger than that. Not sure what it was at last measure. He's VERY thick and broad! He played football in college, and has just kept up his physique. I don't like skinny guys. I need a man with some meat on his bones!

aj

I don't understand. You said he was skinny. Listen I don't think you know his measurements and you've got me confused. There is no way that a man can be a size 38 waist and be skinny or in shape - there is fat on the gut.

Nobody claimed that Monica is bright. :p

I find it quite funny how none of the "Monica was a victim" posters have any comebacks

That's because there is no comeback...you don't do what she has done over the past two years if you're ashamed, victimized, etc. by what's happened.

She's played herself up for all it's worth.

honeychile 07-03-2004 11:15 AM

Since you're that curious...

No, I still think it's a matter of opinion. Part of maturity is knowing when to speak and when to let others rant around you.

Exactly, this "she was the victim" garbage is a total load. She took what happened and turned it into "Monica TV" and capitalized off of it anyway she could (books, purses, etc).

In any event, unless any of us on GC are Monica we may never have any idea if she was really a victim or not. Some people try to get to the top in very disturbing ways...

Definitely - I mean, I can't say that it didn't affect her in some negative way, and I definitely have no idea of what she was thinking (or not thinking) when she made the decisions she did.

Her actions since have been questionable though; it's an odd choice to try to parlay that situation into being a sort of "Queen of all Media." I'm sorry, it's just tough for me to visualize her as too much of a victim in all this.
