Thanks for the memories, KSUViolet -- so often we hear from PNMs only during recruitment and perhaps through initiation. You've stuck with GC (and with Tri Sigma as well).

I just wanted to update everyone and let them know that my bid day was TEN YEARS AGO this year and that I will celebrate 10 years initiated in September! Two Conventions and 6 years as an alumna volunteer later, I still love Sigma as much as I did that day I got that envelope as a giddy 19-year-old.

I also celebrated 10 years in 2014, and it's such a crazy feeling knowing it's been that long. Getting my bid, new member meetings, initiation… it all seems like it happened just yesterday. Here's to another 10! |
Congrats on 10 years! I celebrated 30 this spring. And I love Alpha Gam far more now than I did then. I know it now- I understand it on a much deeper level now.

Right?! When I started on this board, I was 19 and heading into my junior year of undergrad, and living on campus. Now I'm pushing 30, have 3 degrees, a job, and a townhome. Other folks started on here in college and are now married mothers of 2 or 3. Time flies!

Twelve years a Sigma this year!
I just attended my third Convention this summer and started a new volunteer role aimed at engaging our alumnae. I always like to revisit this thread as I think it shows that we are not part of our sororities for a school term or for four years, but forever. You never outgrow it. Tri Sigma grows with you. |
