I think they should make a show called Average Jane where they bring in some of the most ugly, hideous women in all of America. Gil will be the new bachelor of that show. :D

OK, so what happened when they were on the Today show? I had a customer come in right at that very moment (AAARRRGGGHHH). All I saw was they looked kind of cozy sitting there on the couch. Are they back together or something?

I think she picked Gil because not only was he better looking (in some opinions) but because he was "reserved"....I think she wanted a challenge ("I'll get him to open up...") or wanted to work for his attention and affection. On Brian's hometown date she said that she wanted Brian to step up and reveal more about his true feelings....he did that, but I guess then all the mystery and challenge were gone, so she had to pick the one she hadn't "cracked" yet......CRAZINESS!!!

And it's obvious Gil wasn't into Larissa....just in it for the face time and for possibly the "challenge" of winning. She gave him a perfect excuse for getting out....if it hadn't been the Fabio thing (what's the big deal in that? I bet if everyone knew she was Fabio's ex at the beginning of the show, Gil would be bragging "heeeyyyyyy....I landed Fabio's ex! I'm badass!), it would have been something else. He was looking for an excuse to make a memorable exit.

Husband thinks the whole thing was scripted and the producers told Gil to leave her when she told the Fabio secret.....

Saw it. They are still together and keep in contact daily even though they live 3,000 miles apart from each other and haven't seen each other in months. :rolleyes: That's just dumb.

I LOOOOVED brian. he was sooo sweet and so cute. my heart broke for him last night and saw the look in his eyes. I was crying over it. Poor guy......She doesnt deserve a great guy like brian he deserves so much better then her.....ok he deserves me!:D


I hope gil and larissa ( that snarky witch) split and she is all alone for the rest of her life for picking someone who obviously showed his true colors by wanting this to be his break into show buiness.

The whole Fabio secret- I really didn't get it, he made such a big deal about it, I think it should have been explained further. I thought her secret was going to be that she used to be a man or something- no I really didn't think that fully but it crossed my mind. I really thought she was going to pick Brian the way she reacted the last time she saw Brian- all that crying and how Gil was like I want to be an actor after this- stupid.

three DJs are on a local Atlanta radio station here were discussing the Average Joe Hawaii show today and they have said the same thing about the "fabio" secret that we have here...and that Gil was a TOOL!!! (love that comment!) but they also echoed my sentiment posted earlier --no more Average Joe for me - the producers have their head up their arses if they think this last episode was good...it sucked!! Gil will never have a career as an actor -- all he has are his looks -- and Larissa only wants attention and adulation from good looking guys...she is a loser in my opinion!

I feel so bad for Brian...was he interviewed by Katie Couric too?

I watched the segment on the Today show and from what I saw, Gil and Larissa said that when Gil left her, it was actually time for them to both leave the island, he just left first. They basically made it seem like the producers edited his reaction a little bit and that they just didn't know where their relationship stood after leaving Cabo. Larissa said something about having talked to Brian the night of the last show, that they're friends, etc. I highly doubt that.

Off topic a little, but I know Gil is kind of attractive (honestly I don't think he's that hot, but he's ok), but seriously, he needs some color in his lips! They blend in with the rest of his face!

I didn't watch the entire season, but Gil didn't have much of a personality- he was always so serious looking. If she was going to pick looks in the end, then she should have just kept the hot guy she cut before the finale. He may have had not much to say but at least he smiled a lot.
