I would love to see Theta Phi come back to California one day; I love how y'all were founded and your motto is wonderful!:)

When did Lambda Chi Alpha leave the NIC and join the NPC? Does this mean that Lambda Chi's must now get a sex change operation? :p

Sometimes expansions at schools are needed even when the existing chapters are not at total. My chapter started off as an intrest group of 25 women who did not see any sororities existing on campis that they fit into. (existing ones were: SDT, DG, SK, AZD, AEPhi, and PM) Out of these six only one was at total and two were very low in numbers. Despite this many girls were also not being housed. Despite the fact we are a fairly small school two large sororities, DZ and KD made presentations. DZ was choosen and now a year later we are the largest chapter on campus despite the fact people said there was not a need to expand.

I congratulate your chapter. I would be interested to know how the other chapters at your campus are doing in the wake of your success. Did any of those chapters fold? Are any in trouble, or bigger trouble (membership-wise) than they were before DZ colonized? How many women went through recruitment the years before and the years after your chapter came to campus? The new kid on the block gets a lot of attention, generally. That doesn't always mean that interest is any greater. I disagree with a general perception that if 6 houses don't meet the needs of the PNM's that one more will. If recruitment is such that women are going unbidded it seems there are larger problems.

I beleive that happened at my school, the year before I affiliated. There were 3 sororities on campus, all founded in 1991. They were doing OK with getting numbers, not wonderful, but alright. Somehow the local on campus was allowed to affiliate with a national and they seem to get alot of girls (but not necesarily keep them, which counts more to me...) and now my org is suffering :( We kinda struggle in formal recruitment and dont do very well. We are better at informal things. The girls we get, we keep, but we dont tend to get many. We are hoping to real quota with this spring's informal recruitment.

I hadn't heard about ADPi colonizing at FGCU but I know that ZTA will be colonizing there sometime this year.

Oh, Mr. russelwashshinsky, or what ever, and what do you seem to be refering to?

I guess your mind seems to work in mysterious ways, if that is what you call it!

Since I do not know enough about your Fraternity and even if I did, I dont think I would demean it or the members of it like you so abably seem to do about others.:(

I hope this is not the true colors of all of your Brothers or Your National Fraternity.:(

But alas, there always those in one who seem to be ineptitudal asses!:(

PhiPsiRuss 01-12-2004 06:09 PM

Tom,

I was making a joke about how you posted your fraternity's extension efforts in a thread about sororities. If I slighted Lambda Chi in any way, I appologize.

Tom Earp 01-12-2004 06:29 PM

Why thank you Russel, apology accepted.

I forgot, what Fraternity are you a Member of?

Have to many things to remember.

Oh, and while it was posted on an NPC thread, I just feel that it is important to let everyone know wherre we are all going to try and re-colonize or place new Chapters, as I would to see as many NPC Groups Activate at many Schools, and If I can be of help so be it. We just do not have enough at some schools to show a strong Greek Front!:)
