Soror Star looked beautiful. Big Gay Al's attire would be nice if worn by a man who's sexual orientation is questionable.
Yes, Melissa has breast cancer, and she just finished her chemo. The velvet suit was big with the men folk. I love Soror Alicia's new sophisticated look! Didn't really care for the Queen's attire, but she sang beautifully. It was nice to see B and Jay sit together without Mama Tina in the middle. |
Well, I think that the Grammy's were aight. There weren't the best or the worst, it was just kinda so-so.
Like everyone else I really enjoyed the Jamie Fox and Alicia Keys performance (from what I could hear over my loud LS's in the next room). I thought that she looked really nice. My 7 told me that she wishes that Alicia would go back to the braids. I like her with her hair out....but I digress...back to the Grammy's. I am glad that Ray Charles won all those awards, even though it is a shame that they waited until he died to realize what a musical genius he really was. I am glad Kanye won, I thought his speech was cute, but I can see where other people are coming from talking about how he sounded arrogant. I didn't like the Tsunami thing, it looked thrown together and rushed. It looked like they didn't know who was singing what part, and it just looked a H.A.M.! I was so glad that Usher actually sang during his performance this time instead of dancing threw the whole thing like he did on some award show. I thought that lil country lady that won was TOO funny with her acceptance speech.:D How about me and my LS's were watchin J-Lo and her husband, and my 14 was like...."Where are the subtitles?" I was thinking that too.....I wanted to know what they were talking about. I think she sound better singing spanish that english....and she still sounded awful last night....my LS's said that they wanted to give J-Lo's husband a sandwich....I thought that was funny...but he is little though........he looks sickly |
My comments:
Queen Latifah looks like she's gained some of that weight back. She sounded nice, but I didn't like her dresses. Beyonce' looked beautiful. Somebody needs to tell Star that she isn't quite down to a size 6 yet. Mavis Staples voice just aggravated me. It sounded like she was just yelling half the time, she didn't always sound like that to me. :( I still don't like Kanye', but it was nice to see him congratulate the other group when they won that award and he didn't. Usher looked a gay pimp fool, and I fell asleep during his duet with JB, literally. I wish they hadn't hyped up Alicia and Jamie's performance, I was somewhat disappointed. She sounded AWESOME by herself, but the duet was so-so. |
