I was in Senate for two years, tons of meeting that got out at 3 am

Also, if you noticed the finance system, Greek life was the least likely to get student funds for their philantrophy projects while other groups got funds for trips and stuff.


My family is from Macon and my aunt was an ADPi at Wesleyan and my Macon Cousins are all Phi Mu's. Small world huh

Delta Delta Delta presented tonight. They had a great presentation that was very well received by Panhellenic and the other Greek Councils. They pushed three main things: Making connections with Panhellenic & other organizations at NCSU, providing support for a new chapter (alumnae, national officers, etc.), and having unique programming for the new chapters.

Pi Beta Phi is presenting on Wednesday (I can not go to this one...makes me so mad!!) and Kappa Delta will come next week (Tuesday I think - I'll be there for that one).

The presidents are meeting with Tri-Delt right now to ask questions, etc.

Did you hear how Pi Phi's presentation went?

KD goes on Tuesday of this week. Like I said, I'll be there...

I have heard nothing but good things about Pi Phi's presentation. Everyone was very impressed.

I can't wait to see KD.

When will you guys vote?

Last time, there was a big controversy. A few chapters did not want KD or DDD to come on because they did not want to have to compete with the NC reputation the groups bring (Both chapters are unbelievable at UNC and other schools around here)

I'm not sure when the vote is.

I have not heard anything about chapters not wanting DDD or KD because of their strong reputation...if anything that makes them more desirable.

GOOD to hear. I actually had dinner the other night with ADpi's out going Pres... She is excited about expansion.

Alright, I went to the KD presentation last night and it was excellent as well! I was very impressed! They had their national officers, of course, but also brought many girls from UNC right down the road. They had a unique approach to presenting. Instead of standing up there telling us how great they were, etc, they stood up saying that they knew we were happy in our GLO's and that they are not standing up there trying to convince us to join KD...they are standing up there trying to convince us that KD is a good fit for NCSU. It's kinda hard to explain but it was neat.

In any case, after the presentation, we all got together to talk and it seems that DG is leaning towards voting for Pi Phi. I wish I didn't miss that presentation! The girls said that they liked Pi Phi because it's unlike any of our groups on campus currently.

Of course, DG does not have the final vote - and I have heard through the grapevine that other GLO's like both Tri-Delt and KD! I'm sure all the groups will get votes...it just comes down to who gets the most!

Panhellenic votes on Thursday...the announcement should be made shortly after that. I'll keep ya'll posted.
