*bumping to get plans going for date and time...I'm guessing we're still going to meet at Dave and Busters??? Who's all coming? :)*
|
My drunk ass will be there.
|
oh hell yes!!!
|
What will work the best....night or day, weekday or weekend, etc?
I think we originally floated the idea for the weekend of the 17th or 18th... |
whatever time happy hour starts...
|
I'll try to make it this time. I have something on the 18th during the day but luckily it's like 45 minutes south from where I am so I can meet up probably during anytime in the mid afternoon. Let us all know! =)
|
Okay, would a Friday or a Saturday work better for the majority of you? This is the times that D & B's is open on Fridays and Saturdays (I have no clue when their happy hour would begin, Josh, so if you want to check into that and let us know, go for it! :D)
Friday - Saturday: 11:30 am - 2:00 am Friday would be the 16th and Saturday would be the 17th if we stick with our original time frame we had discussed. Either way, I'm about 99% certain I'd be there, so let's get a date and time to meet scheduled! :) |
i'm game
|
I personally prefer a Saturday. And I got my dates confused. Anyhow, you may also want to consider that if we're meeting at D & B I think it's at 3pm when they start checking ID and anyone under 25 has to be accompanied by someone 25+ in order to get in. At least that's how they do it up here. You can count me in if it's on a Saturday.

Either way, I'm of the thinking Saturday would work better probably for most, so why don't we set a meeting time of 2pm for Saturday, January 17th at the San Diego Dave and Buster's...I'll be there, and I can get there early to try and "find" everyone as they arrive if need be. (I wasn't looking at a calendar the first time I mentioned dates when I thought the 17th and 18th were the Friday and Saturday dates) |
Shucks.....
.....I wish y'all had decided to do this get together when I was in San Diego (12/26-1/2) for my folks' 50th wedding anniversary and a family reunion (and a trip to the National Championship game at the Rose Bowl - USC - #1!!!!!)
I ate at one of my fave restaurants (cuz they have one in Atlanta I enjoy as well) -- GORDON BIERSCH! as well as one of the Mexican Restaurants in Old Town (something Popal -- it was good!) and shopped at Fashion Valley (way too many after Xmas shoppers there!) Gordon Biersch would get my vote (if I were still in San Diego) as it is big, yummy and easily accessible!;) :D |

A lot of the San Diegan GCers were out of town over the holidays because a good majority of them are still in school, so I think they were all spending the holidays elsewhere. Next time you come down this way, though, we'll definitely have to plan a get-together! :) |
polarpi: Yes I guess things are a little more lax down in SD. Hee hee. Anyway you can definitely count me in!
How will we find you though? Just at some prearranged specific meeting spot where you'll be holding a red rose? =D Just kidding. =) Or are we allowed to ask you for your cell phone number? =D I'll gladly give you mine as well. |
How's this....anyone definitely planning on coming to the gathering just PM me, and I will PM you back with my cell phone number....not that I don't trust all you GCers, but you never know who's scoping out the boards, looking for innocent women to prey on  :p
I'll be meeting up with you all, but then I'm going to have to check out a little early....gotta orientation for my one online class this semester, and I have to drive up to San Marcos to be there from 6-7pm, yuck :p ETA: I'll also make sure I'm wearing an ADPi sweatshirt, and my picture is also posted in the Greekchatters album (the second album has the most recent picture of me) |
Fair enough. Well I PMed you not too long ago. I"ll be looking forward to meeting with you all.
