I have a sister named Hottie Hill?? Love it! :D

someone had asked me to elaborate on the houses i did and did not attend first round parties for, so here goes:

i DID attend, in alphabetical order: Tri-Delta, DG, DZ, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Phi Mu and Pi Phi. One of these is "Coffee", and I received an invitation to their second round.

due to missing the first day of rush, i DID NOT attend: Chi O, Kappa Alpha Theta, KD and ZTA. One of these is "Pecan Praline" and I got invited to their second round - pretty cool, considering I didn't go to their first round at all. another thing I remembered is that I had been corresponding via e-mail with the president of one of these groups, she even called and invited me out a couple of times this summer but i didn't go because i wasn't sure if it was "proper" or whatnot. strangely enough, this was not the group that invited me back!

so, there you go!

oh, i also wanted to add that in my extreme RUSH to get ready for RUSH, i forgot to take out my nose stud. remember my infamous "nose piercing" post? heh...by the time i realized it, it was too late(i have to put in a clear, seemingly invisible "retainer" when the jewelry isn't in) and i wore it PROUDLY.

i think i should have gotten more invitations to second round simply because i amazingly took a shower, blew my mass of hair mostly dry, got dressed and primped a bit, and sped back to campus in under 45 minutes =) it was a feat. my gamma chi was like, "wow! you look great! didn't i see you in a ponytail, jeans and flip-flops an hour ago?" ;)

lol...i think that should be reason to get tons of invites!!! that has to be a special trait!!!

i am glad to hear that you are sticking with it! i am glad to hear that pecan praline has taken the chance to get to know you! best of luck tomorrow at your parties!

i got my schedule for tomorrow and i have my two parties back to back. first i'm off to COFFEE at 1 pm and PECAN PRALINE at 2 pm. i told my gamma chi that i had thought about withdrawing, and she definitely encouraged me to stick it through until we get to next invites and see how i feel then...so, we shall see.

Anybody else getting ice cream cravings from this thread?

so what happened today?? how were your parties? share! share!

the parties were a lot of fun today! i enjoyed COFFEE again for the second time and felt very comfortable at PECAN PRALINE even though it was my first time there. they were the last two parties of the day, so i could tell everyone on both sides was exhausted. the girls in COFFEE have just been so sweet to me and i know i could have a good time with them. they also made sure to introduce me to a couple of their actives who pledged as sophomores, so they assured me that it WAS possible! the girls in PECAN PRALINE are more diverse, and i feel it's a more down-to-earth group. at SIX tomorrow morning we see who invites us to round three...i'd be thrilled to get invited back by both of them, but i'm especially in love with COFFEE right now =) *crosses fingers*
