Reading all your posts has been really comforting. I'm a transfer student to the U of A (AZ) in the fall, and I plan on rushing. Trouble is, and maybe it's not even trouble, but none of my other friends are interested in joining a sorority at all. I know the whole point is to make new friends, but I think it would be a bit less stressful if you were doing it with someone. So with that in mind, I went searching for other people to go through this with, so congrats, you guys got the job ;) These are the NPC houses we have in Tucson:

Phew, that's a lot when you write them all out...any way, I don't know a single person in a sorority so this will all be new to me, and I'm pretty excited as well as nervous. Hearing some of the things the other girls have gone through at rush is helping me know what to expect when I do it. So anyway, I'll probably be asking quite a few questions to you guys through out this whole process, I hope you'll be able to help.

You might not have anyone to physically "go through" Rush with, but you'll have lots of people here at GreekChat going through every single step with you. I don't post much outside of the Beta Sigma Phi forum, but like many of us, I hang on every word of EVERY rush thread.

I have decided to rush, 100%!! I even called the Campus Activities office to find out the dates, but they said they didnt have any of that information right now. They told me to check back in a week! Sometimes I feel like I am already greek because of you guys and how much information I already know. I think all of you are great people, and hopefully I will be lucky enough to find girls like that on my campus!!:)

I KNOW! me too. i'm not a legacy and dont have very many friends in sororities. and the ones i am friends with i dont keep in contact with anymore so i dont really have anyone to talk to about this. but i guess i want that support and closeness to girls that i wouldnt otherwise have with other people. girls that are totally different from me and yet i love them and share that "bond" with them. and i guess i'm looking more for a home away from home. i want to go to school as far away from home as possible (actually the school i'm thinking about is only 2 hours from here) and know that if i've just had a bad day i can always go to one of my sisters and she'll support me. i think what most of you girls have is amazing. dont ever take it for granted because...i would trade shoes with you in a heart beat.
