CT4 the way you write in this soap opera, I can't wait to read your published work. Please make a stop in SYRACUSE when you do the book tour. :D

OneOneTwo, are you doing any publishing in the future as well?

Miss. Mocha 05-06-2003 07:41 PM

Oh no, I'm rotf over here. Is 112 trying to make us believe that RedefinedDiva is preggers...or is she suffering from a dreaded Urinary Tract Infection? Is one of the men in GC giving various women "female problems"? Oh No!

Thanks Gina, I begin Chapter 16 tonight and I almost had to cuss my brother out tonight for not hurrying with the 11 chapters he has to read. I want a male POV and this NEGRO claims he don't like to read.

Ooops my bad, but thanks and I will definitely put Syracuse on the book tour.

Edited because Sweetie is not my cup of tea.:p

I'll be back with the answer to this question later on tonight too... got to step out.

But the only problem with answering the question would be revealing who I am... because I do work in the publishing industry.

CT4, let me know what you think (since you know already LOL).

I do know, but I think you can tell them. Just not your name if you do not wish to reveal that at this point.

I had a new book that came out in January... but unfortunately, my publishing firm is undergoing massive restructuring (including a name change) so all my work will be out of print by July 2003. However, I do have a new title slated for release July 2004. I may talk about it more once the work is completed and the release date grows nearer.

I'm still debating on when, where, how and if I will reveal my identity... partially because the revelation can impact some those around me who are participants on this site and those who are just "viewers."

SideNote... it will be a while before I submit another contribution to the story and now that I am working and going to school, I will be cutting back my contributions to once or twice a week. I am shooting for the later, but once I get into my new schedule, I'll be straight.

See ya'll next week.

Will Make A Contribution Tonight.

Sup Peeps,

Many of you have asked me about my literary work or where to find it. However, due to the discreteness of this message board and other reasons, I am not allowed to reveal my name (BOO!).

I am happy that I am allowed to share this little bit of news with you. On May 15, 2003 the novel I am working on, They Called Him Mike will be syndicated on DimeMind.com. I am writing under the name Still My Friend and you can send comments about the story to stillmyfriend@hotmail.com. It has already made an appearance on a few websites/private chat boards already and I hope that it turns into a hit. The novel is about a friendship between a straight man and a gay man that blossoms over time. I have been told by people who have read the story that those of you who enjoy E. Lynn Harris’ work may also enjoy this story. I am still writing the story and new chapters will be posted every two weeks on the DimeMind.com website.

My editors and I have decided to use the website as a testing ground to see whether or not the content of my story can be enjoyed in book format. Towards the end of the novel, we will have a time period to let readers vote on whether or not they want to see They Called Him Mike in print and their likelihood of buying the novel. If a significant percentage of readers vote yes, then the book will come out early to mid 2004, depending on completion time. The reason my editors and I decided to publish the book this way was so that we could get a feel for how the book may perform in the literary market. To give you the heads up, the story has received minimum editing partially due to the fact that one of the websites this story is published on has deadlines for the story. Please note that if the book gets published in print format, it will be thoroughly edited. We are just testing the storyline and flow of the book.

The reason that I am advertising DimeMind.com is that it is a new website for writers who want to submit their works for public viewing. The writer’s email address will be posted so you can provide them feedback about their story through their email address. As one of the editors, I am extending the invitation to you to submit your short stories if you so choose.

I want to thank all of you who continue to send words of encouragement and encourage me to submit scenes for “The Good, The Bad, The GC.” I hope you continue to enjoy my work. I will be making contributions in the night time as opposed to the day for now, I hope that works out.

In Unity,

112

P. S. – No, I don’t know 112 personally, but they are my favorite R&B group so that is where the name comes from ;).

OneOneTwo 05-13-2003 10:57 AM

I have finally added the contributions... I will try to add another set on Thursday or Friday. I hope ya'll enjoy.

I like the party scene, but when will it be over??? j/p

ladygreek 05-13-2003 06:43 PM

112, How are you going to have Alice suddenly be a member of another sorority when she had been perping Delta for umpteen years and she was president of the Delta chapter. Her sister Ann didn't step in until recently (when you set up the kidnapping scenario.) LOL

If you're Eric Jerome Dickey, can you please explain to me why the male character in Between Lovers didn't have a name? That was sooo annoying. I kept waiting for somebody to call his name, and nobody ever did:mad: !
