I've never heard of the first verse but we had one that started similarly to your second verse (but only 1 verse).

This year I was a Pi Chi so I didn't really get to hear our new song but I know we copied it from someone else and it sounded kinda of military style. I know if you check the Crescent handbook there are some more songs. I love hearing how different everyone does it.
