Congratulations PiPhiERDoctor!

Thank you everyone!!! Her mother and I are so happy for her, it was was her favorite all week so I am so glad that it worked out for her. And I can’t stop crying over having a new Pi Phi sister - what a sap I am!!!

Bids were distributed via email to the PNMs. The gamma chis and Panhellenic exec were in the Greek theater which is where they did the live stream. Then the new members got to go to a celebration (in masks) on the lawns in front of their houses. Those Arkansas bid day themes and decorations are amazing!!

Props to them all for placing so many PNMs with a virtual recruitment!

Wow. Quota last year was 43. I heard Iowa State had some problems, but that is a huge drop off.

PiPhiERDoc 08-23-2020 07:21 PM

Looks like lots of happy faces at South Carolina and UGA today.
So far, doesn’t seem like numbers most places where recruitment has occurred has suffered too much from COVID and virtual recruitment.

But for heaven’s sake...can the “baby” whatever’s PLEASE be a trend that finally goes away?????

The Baby Trend must have skipped out a few years, this is the first I've heard of it again since 2014. Back then I thought more than a few NPCs made it clear collegians were NOT to use those types of phrases; someone had better show our younger sisters those older memos.

School enrollment has been steadily dropping the past few years. They didn't have 500 people signed up for recruitment until like two days before it started.

Weren't they also contending with a hurricane during Recruitment?

tcsparky 08-24-2020 09:25 AM

Our SC chapter is relatively "new," and I am excited to see it doing so well! That can bea very competitive campus, too.

PKTKKG 08-24-2020 09:58 AM

Kappa Kappa Gamma at South Carolina had 101!

I understand freshman quota was 82, upperclass quota was 11.

A derecho, so sort of? They're storms described as inland hurricanes. Although I've been told that nobody dropped due to it, it just pushed back recruitment by two days. A majority of the Greek houses were without power for around 30 hours.
