Reading through all these rush threads makes me wish that I could have gone through formal recruitment just to see the experience. I am a founding sister of my chapter and the only NPC on campus so we don't have formal rush.

I'm a founder as well and when we were a local chapter there was nothing like formal recruitment going on. Guess that's why I'm so addicted to these threads. It sounds like you're having a great time Chloe and I can't wait to hear about your invites. I also think it's very cool that you and Enna05 got to meet! Keep smiling:D

Chioe, I just read this entire thread. Congratulations on your invitations. I hope that you are able to find a home away from home among these six sororities. I wish you the best during the rest of recruitment!!! :D

I just got my invites back, and all the three houses that I loved (including the house that I really, really loved) invited me back, along with one house I'm not too crazy about. I was cut by Delta Gamma and I cut Tri-Delt, but that's cool because I really just wasn't feeling it at those houses. Anyways, so today I will be visiting:
Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Phi
Gamma Phi Beta
Kappa Alpha Theta

Four houses is the max we can go to today. Today is slide show day/ skit day. Each party lasts 50 minutes. I can't wait to go see one house inparticular, but I have to go get ready, I will try and update by 9.

Awww...I hope you feel better! I'm glad that you got invited back to the houses that you really loved. I can't wait to hear how your day went, so keep us posted! :)

If you have time, get some echinacea & golden seal,m or just echinacea . . if you take a few every couple hours you will feel and perform a lot better. Good luck.

Chloe, I woke up with a cold on bid day, but I still managed to have fun! Get some Zicam at the drugstore. It's amazing stuff.

It sounds like the houses you are clicking with are clicking with you, too. Get plenty of sleep so you can wow 'em at preference!

I just found this thread now, and this is my first posting although I've been lurking for a while trying to learn more about Greek Life. I'm actually also at SC this fall, and going through Rush and having the BEST time.

It's all so new to me, and I'm loving it. And Chloe, for all I know, we may have met each other already!!

Anyways, I would love to ask you all for some help because I am having the hardest time. I went back to all 4 of my first choices for today and now I need to cut 2 and I don't know which two to cut.

I went to:

Delta Gamma
Pi Beta Phi
Gamma Phi Beta
Kappa Kappa Gamma

And I loved all of them. I think DG, Pi Phi, and Kappa are more for me, but I can't choose which one to cut. Any ideas or suggestions. I loved the Kappa's and I thought they were great, but I didn't feel as comfortable there as I did with Pi Phi. I'm just really confused.

I didn't know anything about any of them before so I really came in with an open mind, but I'm having such a hard time. do any of you have any ideas of things to look for or evaluate now while I'm trying to make my decision. I'm going to make a list for each other to and try to jot down some things.

Chloe, how was your day? Did you have a good time?

I've met so many girls who are SO SURE about where they want to go and I just don't have a clue! Plus I'm a Pisces and so my star trait is that I'm indecisive!!!

Honey, my best advice is to just follow your heart. Pick the places where you feel the most comfortable and at home. Sometimes the choices can be really tough, but trust your instincts and you'll be just fine. Best of luck:D

Two Suggestions
 

1) Picture yourself in your PJs, no make up, unshowered. Now try to picture yourself in each house. If you can't picture yourself in the house like that, then you may want to cut it.

2) Picture yourself in the letters of each house. As you dou this. Ask yourself are you being yourself in those letters? Are the members you met girls that you'd want to hang with even if they were not in your sorority? If your answer is no, consider cutting.

Follow your heart. And if in doubt, go with your gut. ;)

Thanks so much for the advice girls! I like the idea of being in my Pj's and wearing no makeup, etc, because I really feel like that at Pi Phi.

DG was stunning and so was KAPPA, but I don't know if I would feel as comfortable like that at Kappa. I'm not planning on living in I don't think. And so I would be coming to visit, and would want to be happy being there and not living there, but I loved all three houses.

I'm trying to follow my heart, which is telling me Pi Phi, but I'm struggling to decide between DG and Kappa because I love both!!!

and then I think maybe I should cut Pi Phi and then I don't have to choose between DG and Kappa!!!
