wow the hatin in here is really getting way out of hand. Like sure maybe some of us were a tad mean to the sigmas sometimes, but hey its a message board where we can vent and say what we feel and if thats how we feel then well whatever. still, the people who are preaching the "stop making fun of the sigmas" are just as guilty! they are hating on all who dared say, "i don't like them." seriously, the way some of you talk, you think you were a part of their group. But your being just as bad by then going and making fun of all the other GCers who happen to not agree with the show. Not everyone has the same opinion and you can't force your opinion on someone else. None of the people criticizing the show were forcing other people to think they same, they were just posting venting out whatever feelings they had while you guys are like telling us what to think. Basically, everyone here has done wrong and WHY CAN"T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?? :D

What the Sigmas girls have done obviously wasn't a good idea, but the made their ebds now they have to lie in it. Hopefully we won't make the same mistake they did. While they may portray and image of greek life that we despise and that we are trying so hard to get rid of, sitting here and bitching about it isn't going to do anything. All we can do is hold ourselves and our organizations to a higher standard. It is up to all greeks to show the greek life is not like this at all.

What i find funny is that the ones who are bashing the show the most are the ones GLUED to thei TVs whenever it's on.

Listen to yourself! Likening "Sorority Life" to a news report or a tape made by terrorists is just plain ludicrous! There's a HUGE difference between the Daniel Pearl tapes and silly show on MTV. I maintain that if a person does not have the intelligence to realize that not everything on TV, most especially MTV, is real, you wouldn't want them in your organization.

Give the PNMs a little more credit. If they're smart enough to get into college, they're smart enough to know that they should take "Sorority Life" with a rather large grain of salt.

I THINK I get the point you are trying to make when you say this. Unfortunatley it was sort of over shadowed by the masses of paragraphs before and after. I am not the one on here bashing Sigma til I am blue in the face. Nor am I being catty just for the sake of being catty...oops, "venting."

Lady Pi Phi, I thought that was a very interesting point. However, I think as far as my posts go...I have been more about trying to suggest solutions and damage control than bashing anyone. Unfortunately that has gone largely ignored in the face of more "entertaining" posts.

P.S. Some of the analogies I have read have been just plain ridicuolous. Sigh.

I think you should take your own advice and lay off the sarcasm yourself. YOU wouldn't want the Tri-P's to come after you for not allowing "poor AXO Alum" to state her thoughts and defend her right to belittle others over and over again.

If they didn't watch it they wouldn't have anything to complain about and therefore nothing to do with themselves. :rolleyes:

Haven't we all had to work three times as hard to get new recruits? Even before the show started? I mean we sit and complain about this silly show when new members close to home are OD'ing on alcohol. I would assume that would have a greater affect on greek life than "Sorority Life." And if you are proud of your organization like I am, then stop telling everyone on GC that you are proud. Go out and show it.
I really don't appreciate the Charlie Manson comparisons. talk about a snowball argument. But alas you are entitled to your opinions and I am entitled to mine. In no way do I disrespect them, I just think you are missing the big picture. The show has been filmed. It's on TV, girls and guys are watching it. There is really nothing you can do. Just do what you always do. Go on living your life because Sorority Life isn't going away. Sitting here and having a bad attitude about the sigma anit-bashers isn't going to help you.
