Well, I know there are a few GCers who will be going through UF rush...excuse me, recruitment...which begins on Monday, Aug 19 & lasts through the weekend.

Also, UCF's recruitment begins today (I think), though I'm not sure if there are any GCers who post regularly..

I think that having fall recruitment for freshmen is actually really good. It gives them an instant connection to the campus (which is important especially at a big school like Arizona) and gives them friends they can turn to when they first start to feel homesick. Also it gives the girls 4 full years to be active and even that seems like way too little time! By the way our recruitment occurs even before school starts!

Okay, everyone going through rush -- I know you've probably heard it a million times, but I really hope that each one of you starts your own rush thread. And we want DETAILS! I love hearing about everything -- what you loved, didn't love, what you wore. It's all so exciting!!!

You don't need to give us all the details if you'd like to remain a bit anonymous, I just love hearing about the different themes, skits, conversations, etc...

I'm with you on the fall rush, AXWoah-- not only does it allow for connections on campus, but I also think it's important that the newest girls base their decisions on experiences they've had within the house, not campus rumors or anything some silly boys might tell them, and rushing early helps to avoid some of that.

Oue recruitment kicks off sept 13 (friday the 13th, of course! how fortunate) but our first workshop is in just over a week! I cant wait! And you guys'll all get to hear my insane rantings as I get more and more stressed as recruitment chair :)

Good luck shark! I checked out the UC Riverside website to see which chapters you have there (Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Pi Beta Phi and Sigma Kappa.)

I'll most likely be rushing this fall at sdsu... went through recruitment before, but things didn't work out... very excited about this year though because I have such an open mind and know more about what I'm looking for in the different houses :)
