Well nothing has ever been made official by our headquaters, but the entire movie Moulin Rouge should hold a special place in any Phi Mu Alpha's heart!

Yea I've only seen this show maybe 5 or 6 times, and I caught it the first time they should his apartment. That's definitely the Omega crest...

Linda Denham - created the Care Bears. The Harmony Bear, was created especially for Tri-Sigmas. The three hearts in the middle replace the triangle, one of Tri-Sigma's symbols.
(from Wikipedia)

I know this thread is a few years old, but I find it interesting so I wanted to add this.

Jeff, Dave...they both have 4 letters!!!

I also just remembered that in Golden Girls (BTW Best show...EVER) Blanche Deveraux is going to her sorority reunion in one episode and she talks about the great times she had as an Alpha Gam. Which I thought was kinda odd b/c Rue McClanahan is a KAO, but I figured someone who wrote it is a sister or she has a family member that is one and wanted to say it for them. Either way it's super cool!!!

Sisterhood unrivaled; Loyalty Unmatched Alpha Gamma Delta

Actually-Betty White isn't a Delta Zeta-she is an Alpha Gamma Delta. Maybe that's why Blanche talks about her Alpha Gam sisters in honor of her buddy....

As has been discussed at GC before, this is another Greek Urban Legend. See here, here and here.

And neither are Carly Simon, Carole King, Raquel Welch, or Madonna!

Those 4 and Betty White are the ones we seem to keep hearing over and over again.

The other two I've seen Alpha Gams claim are Sherri Lewis (I think they confuse her with Fran from Kukla, Fran and Ollie) and Mary Tyler Moore (this was the big one when I was a collegian because she was a spokeswoman for one of the large diabetic philanthropies) But, they aren't on the list either.

You know....for being in the top ten largest NIC Fraternities in the country there's barely any Sigma Nu stuff out there floating in the cultural waters...

kind of odd.

Anyway, Indiana Jones is always with snakes, our symbol. It was our symbol first and then Sigma Nu stole it. j/k.

Isn't Harrison Ford a Sigma Nu....so wouldn't it be more likely there would be Sigma Nu stuff in the movie? Maybe the snakes have something to do with them?

Oh, my bad...I should have read the rest of the board before replying. Sorry!

For Alpha Xi stuff, I know that Fozzie was created for us since Jane Hensen is an Alpha Xi and our mascot is the Fuzzies. And I hear that the first Kermit the Frog was made from curtains of an Alpha Xi Delta house.

FOZZIE!!! I love Fozzie, that's awesome.

Weren't the Indiana Jones movies directed by Stephen Speilberg? Speilberg joined Theta Chi at a college in California.
