From: Your brothers of the newly acclaim chapter of Mu Omega Pi fraternity, were taking greek life to a higher level....

DO7,

WGLO stands for "White Greek Letter Organization," which are the fraternities/sororities that were traditionally open only to white Christian people, which is not the case with any of those organizations today.

GLO is for Greek Letter Organization

BGLO stands for "Black Greek Letter Organization, " which refers to the Divine Nine.

Hope this helps!

Actually, that is a question I asked myself a lot when I was in school. If I had rushed as a freshmen instead of a sophmore I wonder where (if any) I would have ended up. The sorority I pledged wasn't at my school my freshman year. And knowing what I know now abut how competitive my school's greek system was, I think I would have been at a better place rushing as a freshman. But then again I was so clueless as a sophmore that I probably was more so as a freshman.

I don't know. I think probably a Sigma Kappa or Kappa Delta but KD is possibly pushing it for me. I say those two because I am a legacy at those houses.

But, I think I would have LOVED being a Kappa and wishful thinking for me is also a Theta.

But, your down to earth houses are DG and AXO. Honestly, I think I wanted to be greek so bad I would have picked in the following order:

Kappa
Theta
Tri Delt
Alpha Phi
KD
AOPi
DG
AXO
SK

The other houses I would have dropped out of rush before I pledged them knowing I would have another chance as a sophmore.

If I was going to be something besides Chi Omega( bad thought!! :) ), I would be:

on campus-DG..I put them as my 2nd choice during Pref, and it was a tough decision. I really liked them alot......

off campus-probably Tri-Delt or Theta

If I was a guy, I'd probably go FIJI-all the guys I've known have been so much fun and so cool! They were always a blast to hang out with (next to my Sigma Nu's of course). Very cool indeed.

Althought we do not have them on our campus, I would have liked to have been a Tri-Delt. Their colors, the mascot...things that don't *really* matter caught my attention. The more I learned about the sorority, the better I liked them! Plus, the whole SNL skit got me interested in the first place. I thought it was cute. :D

ummm... good question...

I love being in my sorority (GSS National Service Sorority) but if I hadnt decided to join with GSS, I had considered Chi Omega because they had the highest GPA requirement on my campus. I had also considered ZTA and DZ. ( I never went through Social rush though) :)

AOIIAngel 11-03-2001 06:45 PM

Well, at Texas Womans U, there was only AOII and AGD-so I would have been an AGD, but if I had gone to UNT(across from TWU) instead, I would have wanted to be a ZTA or Chi O.

KarenC725 11-07-2001 02:01 PM

If I hadn't gone ZTA at UMCP, then I would have probably gone DG. If I had gone to another school, then Phi Mu as that is what my mom was.

erniegurl00 11-07-2001 02:44 PM

Well I would have gone Alpha Chi if I wasn't a Pi Phi. On my campus they are a great bunch of girls and a lot of my friends are AXs. However, I'd also have to say Tri-Delt. My aunt was a Tri-Delt here many years ago, and sense then have lost their charter. I would have loved to have experienced what she did! :) (But I would never, ever give up my experiences as a Pi Phi! Blue and Wine forever!)

AOPiLaLa 11-07-2001 04:11 PM

I think I already wrote in this one but if I had not been an AOTT, I would have been an AXID, even though they are the ones I dropped first round. When it was all said and done, I was very close to as many AZD's as my sisters and they were an AMAZING group of girls. But I would have also liked to have been an Alpha Phi, because that is what my grandmother was!

pinkangel 11-07-2001 10:15 PM

AOPiangel...

Do you know any of the ZTAs at UNT??

ErikaXO 11-07-2001 10:49 PM

I've been a Chi Omega for so long it is hard to imagine myself anywhere else....but the only other place I can really envision myself is Delta Gamma. I actually didn't even preference them...I had a really hard time choosing between Chi O, DG and Alpha Phi but we were only allowed to pref two. I grew up in a "nautical" family and so the whole little anchor thing always appealed. I even had a gold anchor I used to wear in college, everyone knew I was a Chi O so I didn't care. (I had a sailboat and a ship's wheel too so it was all the same to me.) One of my closest friends was a DG at my school and though I didn't get along very well with some of them I still have to admit I would have fit in there very well.

lilsnakeyk 11-08-2001 02:02 PM

I couldn't imagine not being a lil snakey k! But, I know that if I had to choose another house, it would have definitely been Delta Gamma. My best friend is a DG and I am really close with a lot of her sisters, so that would be the logical place for me if I wasn't a Sig Kap. I might have even gone Alpha Phi or Tri-Delta, because I am a legacy at both of those houses

Greek Love,

Lil Snakey K

ErikaXO 11-08-2001 10:58 PM

I know I said my next choice after XO would be DG, but I also should mention that I feel a bond to Alpha Gam too. My aunt, who is actually more like a sister to me due to our close age difference, was an AGD and she used to try to "groom" me to be one too. I even had the little squirrel mascot. As it turns out, my mother-in-law and my grandmother-in-law are both AGDs too. I guess this means that my daughter is not only a Chi O legacy but an GD leg too!!!!!
