2. The black community does not ignore black on black crime, not even close. TNC explains it better than I can. http://www.theatlantic.com/national/...-crime/378629/ By trying to change the topic to black-on-black crime, you are avoiding the issue of police abusing their power and the disproportional way that effects blacks in the US. |
For the record, there have been protests and riots about non-police white-on-Black crime. Those aren't the only interracial violence protests.
Communities speaking out against Black-on-Black violence are typically doing so in response to high incidents and rates. They tend not to be pretending to eradicate crime and violence. They know violence and crime exist and are typically carried out intraracially. |

White riots:
The New York city draft riots, the Red Summer, Detroit race riot, Zoot Suit riots In St. Louis, white adults threw glass bottles at black students and their buses when desegration happened in late 70s/early 80s. Whites in Granite City, Illinois (historically a sundown town) burned down a school building (in their neighborhood) when a black business owner bought it for his offices. Whites in East St. Louis frequently burned down their houses, rather than sell them when desegration happened. |

It is always good to see people making lemonade out of lemons with voter registration.
I was annoyed when the on-site news correspondent said some of the unruly/antsy people were complaining that the community leaders and religious leaders were having meetings and silent protests while there were unruly people in need of guidance and direction. "Tell us what we can do...we need guidance." There goes the victim mentality again. Unsupervised teens need to have their butts at home after the peaceful protests have ended. Legal adults need to get their head out of their asses and stop NEEDING someone to tell them to stop looting and crowding streets and corners at night. Stop NEEDING someone to tell you to find something productive to do with your anger. Even with chronic unemployment and underemployment, a moment of regretful stupidity, okay. Ongoing stupidity, give me a break. **** If you're curious and have time to waste, see what the madmax's of society are saying http://thewhitevoice.com/ |
