The change really was made for safety reasons. The field will accommodate more people, so the PNMs won't need to stand as close to each other. Also, last year there was a problem with women passing out on the quad and there was no way to get medical assistance to them. On the field, they can have ambulances right there on hand and have infinitely easier access to the resources that might be needed.

Here's to hoping it will become a new and better tradition!!

My daughter was one of the girls who passed out from the heat last year, she made it back to the chapter house and literally went down as they were taking the picture! Official word is 1890 PMNs this year. At least Faurot field is closer to Greek Town.

My daughter is worried about it being at Faurot. Hopefully they will pass out waters with the bid envelopes!

Tell her to take water with her!
