Congratulations to UNCalumDaughter! Glad to hear things worked out for her!

Congrats to your daughter on joining Kappa! It's a wonderful sorority.

I have no hard feelings about them releasing her during Formal Recruitment, because it enabled her to find her own home. She is about to carve out HER college experience, and she did it on her own merits and will always know that they wanted her as much as she wanted them!

I love your story! I found it to be more fun to have a daughter in a different sorority from mine. It will broaden your horizons and you'll enjoy comparing the similarities and differences between the two chapters.

Correction. You ARE a Kappa Delta. Membership is forever! :)

Well didn't this work out nicely! Congrats. I've been "out of pocket" for a couple of weeks, so I am just now seeing this. Terrific news!

UNCAlum, now that you have found us, I hope you will stay.

I was in Chapel Hill this weekend and drove by the Kappa house. I also saw a KKG in the Arboretum, but I didn't get a chance to talk to her.

I was going to be a legacy for a fraternity. I DP'd only because I realized I was only doing it for my dad, rather than actually wanting to click with the group.

Ask yourself and put yourself in your daughter's shoes... Does she really click with the sisters, or is she just doing it for you? Most of the time, the sisters of your house probably saw nothing that was relevant with your daughter. That would be one of the better reasons to turn her down.

So cool that a guy who is in a service fraternity is an expert on NPC sorority membership selection. Whatever did we do before you found Greek Chat?
